Yeah avalanche fans are already crying about yeti. I've already hated the AVS since I was a kid so let's Go.
I think VGK and Colorado will be the two biggest right off the bat. It’ll be interesting to see where it goes from here though- perhaps some tough playoff series in the future will dictate something or tight races for a playoff spot against another central team.
Also, I wish that Utah was in the pacific division!
I'm not a native Utahn, but my family and I have lived here for almost a decade. I have been an Avs and Wild fan for a long time, but now Utah has a team, and I have season tickets to them. We will see how loyalities are tested. This is the first time as an adult I have lived where an NHL team plays, and this is the most excited I've ever been for an NHL season to start! Let's go!!!
The VGK fans booed us at the draft. It's on: Sin City vs. Saint State. It's too bad we're not in the same division, though.
Old school hockey fans in Utah have a huge distain for Dallas. Back in the old CHL days, Utah's first championship was against the old Dallas Blackhawks in 1974-75. I would also wager that a lot of Utah fans, in general, have a disliking for any team in Dallas including the Stars, Cowboys, Mavericks, Rangers, FC Dallas, etc…
I hope it's Colorado. I already have a seething hatred for the avs, so it works out. Also both the Jazz and RSL seem to have a sort of rivalry with their Colorado counterparts, so it fits the territory
One I want to mention is in the case Arizona gets the Coyotes back that will be a very bitter rivalry
