    Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if you could give me some advice as I do not dabble in collectibles.

This Jersey has quite the provenance. A group of us drove from Vancouver to watch game 7 in Calgary in 1994 and a friend gave me an old Canucks jersey to wear. What a game!!! After we won, there was a massive celebration of Canuck fans outside waiting for the players to get on the bus as we cheered them on. Some crazy BC guys had driven an old wreck and had decorated it with Canuck players and stuff. Some players came over for autographs and were laughing at the car. I was right beside it and had a black permanent marker. The crowd started chanting « Sign the car! Sign the car! » They thought this was a great idea and players came off the bus to come over and sign the car. I was the guy with the pen! So, I would ask for a quick autograph on my jersey when giving them the pen to sign the car. The car became The Canuckmobile and from what I heard it was shipped to games as good luck. Speaking of good luck, I got almost every player to sign my jersey (missing Gélinas) AND PAT QUINN across the back shoulders! It was an absolutely amazing night that I will never forget. I gave the jersey back to my friend but a couple months later they mounted it and gave it to me as a birthday present. I am moving to a different country and can’t take it with me. The jersey is very worn, a little stained but a lot of character and a lot of autographs fresh off the ice after winning game 7.

Anyone know where I should trying to sell this and what I should be asking for it? Thank you very much for any assistance you can give me!

honestly, dont sell it, leave it with ur friend. its one of the rarest coolest things to have a memory like that embodied in an item.

I feel like any dollar amount you could get for that jersey would be significantly less than what it’s worth in terms of sentimental value. Your call in the end, but what a story!

What a great story. That series was electric. So many highs and lows.

Have you considered loaning or donating the jersey to a sports museum or something like that so it could be displayed?

  5. dude, id start a gofundme if you need a few bucks rather than sell the jersey. dont let that go

I have kept it for decades, bringing it along with each move. I am leaving the country for good and simply can not take it. I am selling everything I own and getting down to one suitcase. The friends have move and moved on with their lives. I need to get rid of it and do not need to look at it to relive the memories. Is it worth anything? I thought it would be, people have said over the years that it is. I have no idea where to sell it. E-bay? does that even still work? Was hoping for some feedback about selling it, what it might be worth, etc.. If you know that it is pretty much worth nothing, nobody will be interested in buying it, I would appreciate knowing that as well. Cheers!

Consigners like Goldin or Probstein on eBay have huge audiences and lots of eyes on their listed items. You pay a percentage fee of the final sale price. They take care of the listing and eBay fees.

Incredible piece of our history you have here!

Game 7 was on April 30th was it not?

A huge mistake selling this. Leave it with your friend. Even if it’s just in the back of their closet. You will absolutely regret it and I hate to see thIs even being considered. DON’T SELL!
