I’m quite sure that the performance bonus is probably 30-40 points. Now that’s hard but so much of an incentive for him.
The Penguin's plans are only mysterious if you aren't paying attention. They have been moving in the direction of restocking the cupboard while being as good as possible in the short term. That's what they are doing and it's a big task coming from the hole Hextall left them in.
this reminds me of the Laine & PLD trade. I can't remember if it was 1 for 1, but I'm hoping this one turns out better. The jets got there eventually, with what we got back for PLD, but it'd be nice to have 1 top-tier prospect actually become a star and want to stay. it's like a needle in a haystack, or seems that way sometimes

Yager is not 6 foot much more like 510.
I understand the pens doing this trade. Worry that in 10 years we look back and question them trading yager.

The part that stings as a jets fan is that McGroarty said prior to the 2022 draft that Winnipeg was his favorite team. Not sure y he’d wanna leave but very happy he’s gone. Can’t wait to see Yager lace em up for Winnipeg

I could be wrong, but I think the last time two top prospects were traded one for one, was when the Leafs traded Luke schenn for James van riemsdyk. Now I know they were in the NHL a couple of years but they were still very young players.

We don't know this to be true. Personally I think he is going to struggle then settle into a mid 6 player in a few years.

Fact is in high sight the penguins lost the trade. Winnipeg needed to trade McGroarty or risk losing him. Penguins didn’t have to trade Yager. Could have packaged prospects and picks
McGroarty still hasn't given a reason why he didn't want to sign. Chevy gave a presser and told everyone how things went down. By the sound of it, he's being given crap advice by "advisers" around him or he's a sociopath. Pick one.
