   I’m glad to see Akhtyamov’s coming over here this season, Russian league results are great to see but they don’t always translate to the North American game. It’s been a long time since I’ve watched anything more of him than a highlight (the last time would’ve been the 2020-2021 WJC), it’ll be good to see how he adapts.

   The best outcome for the leafs in goal is 1) if Woll can play half the season, consistently good 2) stolartz holds fort for 2 years so we don’t need to entertain Murray 3) Hildeby or Akhtyamov proves to be a solid back up 4) Murray turns out to be a serviceable trade chip or third string plug.

   In all likelihood, because it’s the leafs, they end up needing to find another goalie in a tear or two.

   I really want a homegrown goalie to be developed and stick around for a while. The constant change in net year over year wears you down.
