Les Blackhawks ont finalement choisi Levshunov au lieu d’Ivan Demidov avec le deuxième choix au total du repêchage du 28 juin 2024 au Sphere de Las Vegas. Korch and Levshunov will be a dangerous top D pair for the Hawks
See I'm surprised he said that because (0:18), what games was he watching? Levshunov's main flaw is his decision making is very weird, he will sometimes make plays that makes no sense, like racing a winger to the puck at the offensive blueline, where it proceeds to get chipped past him for 2 on 1.
Levshunov can be a #1 defencemen, that set combination of tools: size, strength and skating, it is hard to come by. There is a reason why NHL gm's like to pick this type of player (Reinbacher and Seider are 2 recent big D risers with smooth skating and raw tools in their draft).
For me, it just seems like an unnecessary risk when there are defencemen I like more next year. To be fair, the offensive crop is great but you could have had an almost guaranteed dynamic duo.
