Oilers in the short term might be better off if they shop well at the deadline. They can easily get 2 players that are better than these two right now.
In terms of why Harley hasn't been given an offer sheet… it is probably because Nill has about 7 million in cap space in case it happens.

They had already made an offer to Holloway. He said in his Blues “presser” – we were quite far apart. No way they should have matched Broberg, that’s ridiculous money.
Why double offer sheet, you ask? Maybe the team should not embarrass office personell on a road trip.Not a fan of Chiarelli but don't fire personell on the road. It's different with skaters because they may need to play tomorrow for new team.Just an opinion. That's just asking for revenge.Take the high road when possible.
Holloway is from BRAGG CREEK, Bob , not Fort Bragg.. two very different locations. One is AB, the latter is Cali.(@16:35 ish)
Lotsa option variables when you’re a legit contender. Rentals abound, creative cap juggling factors with potential injuries, trades, personnel shuffling, etc..
Stauffer can succinctly state “stauff” so much better than anyone else. Notice how the young dudes have to resort to “f’king”language repeatedly – an example of their lack of language skills and a hallmark of misplaced machismo.
To bad about Holloway, but it is what it is. I hope both signings go on to really hurt SL and they end up singing the Blues.

It's because our Broadcasting system forces the radio to play 30% Canadian music so they just overplay the hell out of the Tragically Hip. We would rather hear Mathew Good or B-sides of April Wine, Triumph, Neil Young and others.
To counter Bob, Ceci has been -5 in the playoffs the last 2 seasons. And in 7 years in the playoffs he's only been a + once.

Should have kept Holloway. OK to let Broberg go. But Holloway is a pretty dynamic player. Definitely worth the +$2M. Bowman should have been a little sharper with Holloway.
broberg getting 4.58m would of been bad for the team. Broberg got paid, gratz for him, but not sad hes gone.
