> The current MSG+ and YES apps will sunset once the Gotham Sports App launches.
I hope this means MSG+ will finally be available on Amazon Fire TV.

So… another new app?

While I like the effort to consolidate the individual RSNs whose long-term financial viability is precariously connected to cable TV, I don’t think this is the way to go. In other words, I like MSG, but I don’t care about the network nearly as much as I do about the teams. The games can be aired on CSPAN for all I care. I’m still going to watch.
Ideally there should just be one platform covering *all* live sports where customers can select which leagues or individual teams they want to pay for. They could package it by conferences or divisions, regular season or playoffs, only home or away games, etc… Lots of possibilities with an a la carte model.
How many people are going to pay $359.99/yr or $41.99/mo for this forced combined service? And only for the local market?
*Sigh*… We’ve still got a long way to go.

lol $42/month.
I can assure you I will still be watching for free as I have every game since 2018.

$42 a month is criminal

But people will pay for it because they cant go without watching their team
