Sounds like the Canucks just didn’t want him to play

  2. Gonna be interesting to see what happens if Silovs has to start the first 10 games of the season or so and plays as incredible as he did.

  3. Maybe we can hire MAF as a goalie physical training coach. Seems like our guys need some muscle to support their joints.

Wouldn’t the Latvian GM “have” to say this so that Vancouver would allow him to play in future tournaments? If he got hurt, no way Allvin and Rutherford would support him going to play world’s again.

  5. I read this as “Latvia should be fined” 🫨I thot they overworked Silovs lol

We need Mr. Ice Bags ready. Imagine if he surprises everyone and becomes a legit #1 starter by the end of the season. Just once, we don’t have a Spencer Martin situation.

I love being a Canucks fan where you automatically fear the worst 🙂

  9. According to Arturs Irbe who works as Latvian goalie coach, Silovs has overworked himself over summer. He has been training since early June. He has been of ice for past few days and pain has disappeared. Apparently he was doing more than his training plans required and wasnt resting properly.

  10. Give him a couple extra ice packs and he’ll be good to go. Two for the head, one for each knee.

Maybe a pair of paisley knee braces for good measure if he wants to go clubbing.
