The 1993 team was probably better than all of them. F David Volek.

The 2016 team was such a force of nature. I still can’t get those back to back 7 game win streaks out of my head.

For the era, 1993 all day. Prime Mario and Jagr plus hall of fame goalie and defenseman. Head to head, probably the 16 penguins. The skill gap form now to then is crazy and our third line was literally one of the best lines in that years playoffs.

This article is a little off. The 91-92 team swept the Bruins in the third round.

Pretty random but ok. Maybe try to write some articles that have something to do with what’s going on right now, ie, ranking pens best players signed out of college etc. Best pens players acquired via trade in August etc.

I think the 2017 was the most exciting to watch of the 5. It was like they were exactly good enough to win the cup and no better. They looked cooked multiple times, but found a way to win at critical moments.

2016-That team dominated night in and night out.

1992-Tremendous streak to wrap up the cup.

2009-That team was just so fast and filled with raw talent.

    1991

2017-To this day I am not sure how they didn’t lose one of those last 3 series

I’ve had the privilege to witness all 5 Cup runs.

I have to say 1992 was the best of the 5. To finish on an eleven game win streak as the competition level escalates was unbelievable. Remember Chicago also was on an 11-game streak when the Pens met them in the Final.

Mario wasn’t even stopped completely by the Adam Graves slash. (Fuck Graves btw). Lemieux just shook it off, came back in the Boston series and just dipped his sac in everyone’s mouth whenever, however and wherever he wanted.

Jagr overnight metamorphosed from a talented caterpillar to a fucking butterfly in the NYR series. When Lemieux went down Jagr, just turned 20 that winter, knew what he had to do.

I can still remember him scoring on that penalty shot and that was when Jagr truly became Jagr.

    1992 > 2016 > 1991 > 2009 > 2017.
