In retrospect, I think Dan Girardi doesn’t get as much love as he deserves.

I think a “quiet defenseman” should win this one. In a time where if a defenseman is recognizable, there’s a good chance it’s because he consistently makes bad plays, then a quiet defenseman fits the definition of underrated. I think someone like Kevin Klein fits the bill. Michael Sauer also fit the bill but his career was cut short. Guys like that. I’ll go with Kevin Klein for my vote.

Like girardi and Klein as options but I’ll put up marc staal. Got a lot of hate with his contract but was very quietly good for us for a while just overpaid. Coulda been better for a bit longer without that eye injury.
