Stole this from the oilers sub and made a minor change, this is all time (which doesn’t mean a whole lot given how young the franchise is but whatever)

  2. Tye Kartye,

He’s been grinding at other players. If Brandon Tanev were to leave, I feel Tye Kartye can fill in the tough and grittiness that Tanev brings

  3. Underrated? I’ll say Oleksiak. I see people commenting about he’s not dropping the mitts at every provocation, especially if Beniers is involved or whining that he’s drawing penalties (hard to be a good dman and not get a penalty here or there), or how’s he’s not aggressive enough in setting up plays on breakouts.

I think he’s a classic stay-at-home defenseman, that uses his physical presence and positioning to keep the house on lock down. He’s had some absolutely clutch defensive plays that have saved Daccord a few times (since he likes to play so aggressively out of the crease), quietly holds the blue line when we’re on offense and honestly does a good job of staying out of the box.

I feel like people automatically want him to be the team goon because of his size but that’d be a waste. He’s a great stay-at-home dman IMHO.

Jaaden Schwartz makes every line he plays on better, and does a ton of little things really well.

Man I hate it when something like this gets popular and I have to see it on 50 different subs for a damn month.

Another vote for Tye Kartye. Love his shit disturbing attitude!! GO KRAKEN!!

  7. Hot take – Matty

I feel like people are somewhat writing him off after his slump last year, but the game is hard, it takes time to get in the real groove of your professional career. An all star season as a rookie is a big deal; Matty’s going to be fantastic

  8. I am going with the new guy… Chandler Stephenson. He is an improved Wennberg, who was also underrated.
