  1. There should be memorials in front of every NHL rink remembering Johnny and Matthew, what a terrible loss of two amazing men. A senseless and avoidable tragedy. Sending prayers and love to the Gaudreau family from Toronto. Rest in peace.

If you drink, please do not drive.

  2. Season Ticket Holder, my first season. I was so looking forward to driving from Kentucky multiple times a year to watch Johnny tear up the ice. This tragic time for our community should serve as a sense of reminder that hockey, and ultimately sports, exist to bring us as people together. As a community. 5th Line is gonna be stronger than ever. RIP Johnny G.

  3. As a Flames fan, thank you for sharing this. He seemed so genuinely happy with his decision to move to Columbus. He radiated immense joy being around his family and the stage of life he was in. The CBJ team and the fans loved him with all they had, and you will no doubt honour him for the incredible person he was. I hope you’re all leaning on each other now, as there will challenging days ahead. Appreciate you ❤

  4. It still doesnt feel real, he was one of my favorite players to watch growing up the game will miss him so much

  5. RIP The parents lost 2 sons the sister lost 2 brothers before her wedding because of a drunk driver 😢

  6. Absolutely heartbreaking video. A true tragedy for everyone. I can’t even to begin to comprehend what their friends and families are going through.

  7. I've been thinking of the Gaudreau family all day. What was supposed to have been such a special day is no more. What a loss. Parents have no longer have their two sons, two wives no longer have husbands, children no longer have their fathers, one child will never get to meet their father, two sisters no longer have their brothers and the list goes on….One incredibly bad decision by one person has impacted so many people. Johnny seemed like a true sweetheart. I didn't know anything about Matthew, but I'm sure he was as well. Just tragic all around.

  8. I am so sorry to their family. The loss is unreal. I am sending you all my love. ❤May they watch over you now and protect you

  9. I watch Johnny Hockey also play for the Columbus Blue Jackets from 2022 in my Junior Year unit the 2023-2024 season in my Freshman Year of College! Players to the Gaudreau family and the Columbus Blue Jackets Community!

  10. 13 forever. The 5th Line is devastated. JG and MG will be remembered forever.

BC. USA Hockey. Flames and CBJ. We'll all miss you.

  11. Very nicely done – even people like me that didn't know him before can really see that he was such an amazing guy – family man. Can't beat that God bless the Gaudreau family.

  12. His number deserved to be raised into the rafters next to Nash R.I.P. Johnny hockey you will always be remembered not just by the Columbus fans but all around the hockey community 🙂

  13. Calgary Flames fan here. Thanks for sharing this. The best tribute to those we love who have passed, is to live well… I hope the Gaudreau (and extended) family can find the strength to continue to do so. Peace and love to all who are heartbroken by their devastating passing. There is no adequate justice for something like this, but I also hope it motivates those that drink and drive to get help and never ever do so again.

  14. A tragedy! I worry for Guy. He has had some resent health issues. They have such a strong close knit family. This is such a blow. Johnny will remain in our hearts and our hearts go out to the family.

  15. R.I.P Johnny Gaudreau. He will always and forever be a blue jacket in my heart ❤️💙
I can’t believe what is parents, family and friends believe. Especially his sister whose wedding was the very next day.
Johnny and Mathew’s death was really unexpected and unfortunate R.I.P you two ❤️💙

  16. Still can’t get my myself to believe it’s true. I’ve read the articles and I’ve seen the tribute videos, my brain will still continue to think I’ll see him on the ice again. Rest in Peace Johnny

  17. Still can’t believe it. Words escape me. Man this one hurts. Thoughts and well wishes during this time to everyone affected. Forever a Flame, Johnny!

  18. I am devastated what happended! Fighting between sadness and anger. This sport lost 2 great players and their family I can’t imagine the pain right now. Rivalries do not exist right now. Talent lost due to some jerks stupidity! There will never be another Johnny Hockey!
