  1. Man, he can be a roster player. He scores very well for a depth player. They should of used him in playoffs

  2. Those draft picks can become something else that you need though…. Particularly around the deadline when someone becomes available who isn't currently. Also, there is essentially no difference after 17th pick and a second rounder (52nd) or something like that. I forget the exact analysis on it. But essentially late first round picks are super super overrated. This move also gives you time to see what you have in Knies/Cowan/McMann/Dewar, and accumulate cap space for the deadline. That isn't a bad offer considering his current value

  3. Habs fan here

I would like him but not for a 2nd +

Half a ppg at 22 is good especially with 3rd line minutes. With the depth we're building up he would be playing the best 3rd line minutes of his career.

  4. Another smallish forward for Montreal. Habs have a stellar record keeping guys healthy, though….

  5. If he won't sign and, being that the Leafs are tight up near the cap, the Leafs need assets at the trade deadline to make deadline deals. Every team wants to take a shot a the season, so good players won't really be available until it becomes to teams that they will be a seller.

  6. If there is truth to this, does it mean the Habs are looking for players who play offensive game but no defense?

  7. Columbus? He's not Johnny Hockey by any means but i think if given regular ice time he could bag 20-25 goals per year.

  8. To leafs
    LW/RW Frank Vatrano 1.325m/ 50% retained
    C Isac Lundestrom
    To Ducks
F Nicholas Robertson sign and trade
    F Nick Abruzzese
    F Calle Järnkrok
Conditional 2nd round pick in 2027

  9. 3rd line center when you have Minten to play. Half a season in the minors to make sure he gets lots of playing time. No need to go out and get anyone until later. Goaltending, defence are big question marks. We have some guys who need a chance to play and develop. No cap space until next year. Accumulate cap space for the deadline if everything goes well. If we get problems with injuries to our top guys we are not going far anyways. Build for next year.

  10. Everyone acts like this kid is a proven hall of famer, yes he has potential especially offensively but he hasn't been able to stay healthy and defensively he's not great, I like the kid but if he wants out then trade him, get over it,
I would make a bigger deal and have rielly and Robertson to Florida for ekblad or tge rangers for trouba,
Cole Perfetti from the jets would be an interesting get, he's a centre too

  11. A MTL 2nd is basically a late 1st.. honestly I might take that 2nd + 3rd. Unfortunately I think his trade value is closer to just a single 4rp like podkolzin.

  12. ..Habs intention is to get bigger..so..a smallish bottom sixer is the last thimgs they need…Leafs are delusional with what they want for Robertson and Marner..let them walk and spend the "millions" of cap space wisely..

  13. Won’t settle for a 2 and 3 round pick. Montreal has 2 first round picks. Treliving should pry one of them for Robertson plus Kampf

  14. Sorry but there’s no chance in hell the Leafs are getting a 1st for Robertson! He’s a 3rd line centre at best. You’ll get a one for one deal with a prospect or a 2nd at best like he was when he was drafted. He doesn’t hold that much value or he’d be in the Leafs lineup!

  15. Joel Armia NO THANKS thats Montreals problem! They want Robertson give us Caulfield or forget it just sayin !!!!

  16. For him it's better he moves on or he's going end up like a part time player like other leafs ,just like Josh levio leafs kept him and barely used same as Frankie collordo same shit destroy you players don't play trade them with nick he won't play much

  17. If you like guys who turn the puck over a stupid amount of the time, Robertson is your guy. He reminds me of Jake Gardiner when under pressure

  18. The Leafs need him. If he doesnt want to sign… sit.. unless there is something good coming back rather than a cheap left winger to play out the risk.

  19. The truth is Robertson could score 30 goals on any team he's traded to, so it doesn't matter much to me where he goes as long as he goes so we can move past this drama. The team needs to shore up its 3rd and 4th lines with good secondary scorers, and I fear they won't be able to have the cap space for that until after next year when Marner's and Tavares's big contracts come off the books. Also, the team could wait until after the preseason when teams have solidified their rosters and cut a bunch of players or put them on waivers. That might be a good opportunity to pick up some good journeymen players cheaply.

  20. Goes to TML: Anderson & 2nd Round Pick 2025 | Montreal Canadians: Nick Robertson & 5th Round 2025

  21. I highly doubt a rival team would bother trading for Robertson if he could just sign with them and they give up less…actually any team would do that vs giving up a 2nd for him. Most he returns is a prospect or a 3rd maybe 3rd and 4th.
