Wasnt this going to be the first season with monahan back on a team with Johnny too? i cant imagine the pain monahan is going through right now. they were super close.
Man waking up to a notification that says "Johnny Gaudreau passes away at age 31" has got to be the most shocking thing I've ever woken to. Rest in peace Johnny Hockey
This just adds another layer of heartbreak to the tragedy. They were going to be teammates again- they were excited to play together again. Sean was excited that their boys would get to grow up together- that they'd get to raise them together.
They weren't just best friends, they were brothers in their own right. My heart breaks for Sean as well in all of this.
This destroyed me. Obviously my heart is broken for the Gaudreaus, my heart is equally shattered for Monny and his family and what their expectation of the future was to be. So many people affected in such an impactful stage in life. This one hurts a lot. Rest easy, Johnny and Matthew. My condolences to absolutely everyone

The most memorable thing that remember Johnny is that I was there at his 100th assist goal rest in peace Johnny 😢
This was sad back then because it was looking like Monahan’s career was over. 2 years later this is just fucking tragic.
