Who does Quinn pass the cup to?

I am very cautiously optimistic. I just hope he doesn’t try and come back too fast

We say this every year but management NEEDS to stop riding Demko so hard in the regular season. His body can’t take it and there was no reason for Tocchet to play him so much when we had a playoff spot nearly locked.
If they don’t think Silovs can handle a 1B workload then bite the bullet and go into LTIR to sign Lankinen or trade for a 1B. But we can’t have another year of sheltering our backup, because that potentially cost us a finals run last year.

You raised my hopes and dashed them quite expertly, sir. Bravo.

Yeeeeah not falling for this one. I’ll unclench only when I see him in the net at the start of a game.

Tomorrow: [Dhaliwal] Thatcher Demko to have leg amputated below the knee, estimated return early December.
I just hope he’s actually ready, and not going on the ice earlier because the Canucks don’t have a lot of goaltending options to start the season and he feels the pressure.

Im surprised Lankinen hasn’t signed if Vancouver has made an offer. Seems like a pretty good landing spot for him, given Demko’s durability concerns.
Maybe with Silovs, Patera & Tolopilo in the system, theres risk of him not winning the backup job?
Maybe it’s a 1 year deal with 2-way money, so he’s potentially worried about ending up in the AHL if Silovs beats him out for a job?

I hope his recovery goes smoothly.

All these reports just make me [feel like this](https://youtu.be/OmGgV-2JNnM?si=V0Kl-TU0R6AEYjQS)
I say we should give Silovs a ton of games right out of the gate, 30-50%, and see if he can hack it in the NHL.
Shelter Demko.
If Silovs can be a bona fide backup, great! We’re set.
If Silovs struggles, we still have time to shop a third goalie.
