Peut-on dire sans se tromper que Bill Zito est le meilleur directeur général que nous ayons jamais eu ? Irions-nous même plus loin en disant qu’il est le meilleur dirigeant que nous ayons eu ?

Id say he is prob the best GM in south Florida across all sports.
Currently, best for panthers and best ever. It’s so hard to get back to the finals two years in a row and win it. Dude knows how to build a team for the system.

He’s the best and it’s not even close. Dallon IMO is number two, but he’s a distant second.

I’m half tempted to mark him as a top 5 GM in all sports. The dude knows how to work contracts for his franchise players, knows how to find quality depth that fits the coaching scheme, he knows how to find hidden gems that can flourish in our systems, and knows how to make the franchise more attractive for incoming FAs (yes winning helps, but so does brand new, state of the art facilities for the team). It’s crazy what he’s managed to do for the team during his tenure here.

Zito is the best GM in the league right now. Won Presidents trophy then two cup finals in a row. He figured out how to build a cup winning team on top of Bob’s mammoth contract, with very little draft talent, and still lost the GM Award to Jim Nill (great GM, deserved it last year but not this year again). Verhaeghe, Forsling, Bennett, Montour, OEL and Kulikov were all god-level GM moves.

He is the most important person in our path to the Stanley, so the answer is a resounding YES.

He is one of the best GMs in all of sports right now, let alone hockey. The only other team l can think of that is analogous to the Panthers’ rise in the last 5-10 years is the Lions, and even they haven’t won it all yet.

The question was never about number 1. It was about number 2 and I think its a no brainer – its DT. He gets no love from most fans (not a single mention during SC celebrations by anyone – and I get it but dont agree with it – i think Viola could have definitely said something there) and he laid down serious building blocks for Zito to work his magic.
