At this point, I'd take just a 3rd round pick for Robertson.
Robertson will be a above average NHL player. He has all the tools to put up some enviable stats when he plays regularly with those who can stay with him. Leaf fans clamouring for a trade will rue the date if he departs.
Robertson seems like a value contract for a team that needs a winger if they can get him on a 3-4yr deal @ 2m tops
lol Robertson is a Air bag never going to stay healthy.
All the kid ever wanted was more minutes but Keefe wouldn't have it . Robertson-Minten-Cowan without Reilly will be one of the better lines in the league.
Robertson is a 39-59 point guy, you are not going to take a third round pick, never. You want someone who could do same or little less with a pick. Do not want to lose on trade or points from one of your players.
You know these hockey players are nothing but babies especially Nick Roberts. He’s not the best player like people think he is. People can say what they want. He gives offence and this and that he had his opportunity when he was on the third line which Toronto course he scored he’s also been injured lot more. He’s very fragile
I'd rather Robertson sit for the year, than do some other team a huge favour by losing a trade so badly. His has ONE decent season.. but can't be trusted away from the puck, so gets less minutes..
He could literally play his way to the top line to start the season, as long as this is just a negotiation tactic and not an actual tantrum
Robertson is a good but for some reason leafs won't play him consistently therefore I'm with go somewhere else and play become a star make a lot of money leafs holding him back
The Leafs have gotten worse over the summer. Not looking forward to this season. They haven't addressed left wing or forward depth
The Leafs have developed this guy and now they give him away to win a Stanley Cup on another team. That's typical of the braindead decisions leafs have made since 1967. Horrible decisions for 60 years.
No chance Nick would go to Edmonton. They lost 2 guys because there really is no opportunity for minutes and they want more than minimum pay. That is why Robertson wants to go to a rebuilding team. Too easy to send him to the minors and of course much less money. He needs 2nd or 3rd line minutes with some powerplay time. Bump his minor pay from 75,000 to 250,000 for a 1yr. deal. 3rd round pick has little value. Get back a good prospect as the farm team is weak.
Until the Leafs move Tavares and Marner, to be on position to aquire goaltending and defense, i think we will be in the same pot of shit as last season. We had an opportunity to get Askarov, but BT jumped the gun and went after Stolarz. Worst goalie move yet in the last 3 years
Robertson has a winning mindset so he is not a fit with the Leafs. He wants to leave because he knows he will never win with the Leafs
Robertson has had chances to become one of the really good young Leafs…he has not grabbed on to them. Move him on for whatever the leafs can get back, Leafs have other young players coming on board the Marlies or maybe a couple may make the Leafs.
He will sign a one year, play with top six and trade him by Christmas
Zadina: 23 pts and -44 +/- !!! … no thanks.
