This is what i think we should do.
It all comes down to who responds to assignment details in Roy’s camp. I wouldn’t even pencil in Engvall yet. My bet is Holmstrom prevails with the camp drills.
We wouldn't lose much waiving Engvall and letting Holmstrom and Wahlstrom alternate filling the 'void' he leaves, even if it's on a different line than Engvall played. Sharing the workload would give both a chance to focus on weaknesses and improve with less pressure. This won't happen for 2 reasons. 1) Lou won't publicly admit he screwed up signing Engvall long-term. 2) Lou will ALWAYS favor veterans.
i really think holmstrom should get the nod. Last year was his first full year and for a good chunk of it he was stellar, until right around the coaching change. I feel like it’s safe to say last season wasn’t the easiest for any rookie to play in. i’m execited to see his play next year
Engvall should be selling hot dogs
Rooting for Holmstrom since he was a high pick but really need a guy playing that role who has hitting in his game. he has no physicality
