Was trying to hold it together while Lanny was talking and then backs came up next. I couldn’t.

I am a grown man and supposed to be strong and tough, but damn this hurts 😥. Been a huge flames fan for 47 years, and through all the amazing players over that time, only one of my jerseys is a players jersey. Johnny Gaudreau….. It’s like he was family how much it hurts…

Must be thousands in the crowd. So incredibly well done with a lot of class. It was pin drop silent on that 13 minutes, so much respect.
It’s almost a week but still feel so surreal. This is going to take some time.

I was there tonight and I knew I was going to cry but I definitely didn’t expect to cry the moment I saw the memorial. It’s way more real seeing it with your own eyes than seeing it online or on TV.
It was so moving and powerful. I was standing at the front the front of barriers and the VIPs (for lack of a better term) walked past to see the memorial for themselves (some laid flowers). I was audibly weeping and Laney McDonald looked at me in the eyes and rubbed my hand.
