People from Toronto talking about salaries is always a funny thing.

It’s pathetic that people who make a living talking hockey still think Habs gave up the 2nd round pick in that trade 🤦🏻‍♂️

It must be my Habs bias speaking because I genuinely think this team is a wildcard team.

Adding 50+ goals between Dach full-time and Laine’s redemption tour, less injuries, more experience on defense, a more consistent goalie tandem, and then you look at Buffalo, Ottawa, and Detroit? Honestly like I can see us pushing for a wildcard. I don’t know how well we’d do in the playoffs but I think we genuinely have a shot at making it.

We improved across the board and the Atlantic is largely stagnant. Push for a wildcard, get Demidov by the end of the season, see what we can do in the playoffs, and then come back next season to really come alive. Sounds like a plan to me.

Jlai predit avant laine. La coupe stanley stannée

  5. Laine helps but the defense is still atrocious

we might score 30-50 goals more but unless we have 50+ fewer GA we aren’t gonna be near the playoffs

They’re a bubble team. Carolina, NYR, NJ are probably too 3 metro and Boston, Florida, Toronto/Tampa in the Atlantic. So it’s the Habs, Red Wings, Sens, Flyers, Islanders battling for the last 1-2 spots.
