Taking a day to just respect the men who died was a classy move.
The fact they even tried to trade for him is Laughable. This really goes to show the self awareness of the Flyers management. Serious facepalm moment. Tortorella is bad for players mental health and just a all around toxic clown.
I’m sure Laine would love nothing more than to play for Tortorella… again…😂😂😂
And …. bye 😂
If I was in position Patrick Laine agent I would not accept it take that deal frist place is not official trade both team for now,, I would not confirm it between Montreal or probably Philadelphia if I would go another team is valuable , interest in I would ingratiate new deal offer sheet to Toronto maple leafs would make sense to excess who need help base in defense position I would accept it afford him in to make different new direction
How long into Michkov s career will he want out of Philly after Torts benches him a few times for something. Torts is not a coach to develop young stars. I give it 6 months and Michkov and Torts relationship sours!
So with Laine and Gaudreau gone does this put Columbus under the salary cap floor? Has to be some kind of exception this year for them.
Buffalo was in the conversation too!!!
I can understand Laine rejecting a trade to Philadelphia, Torterrella is the coach and they didn’t have the timed in Columbus.
R.I.P Johnny……if Montreal trades Anderson I'll put $ 100 Laine will get jacked by a goon within 20 games of his departure….it will just make the target on Laine's back 5 x bigger.
I doubt this is a fact. I would not want to see him on this flyers team at all . Does not fit the timeline and plays zero D . He is not a flyers type player. So if this was true super happy it didn't happen
He has already playes for torts in the same he was traded to colombus.
laine played for Tortorella and it did not go well.
Torts was in Columbus when Patrik got there. Uh, u got it as I'm typing.
Who wants to play in Goontown?
Lol hiring Tortellini is a proof of your lack of seriousness and player awareness . Of course he didn't want to go there
Accepting a trade to the Habs is an indication Laine wants to do great things in Montreal.
You scored with Rene Bourque! lol. When he was on that heater in the playoffs he looked like Wayne Gretzky, so me and my friend started calling him Wayne haha
No one is more relieved that Laine rejected a trade to Philadelphia than Torts. Laine doesn't fit his system.
That’s because Laine rather play with the habs and Demidov next year than deal with brat Mitchkov!
the best creators did not post any videos out of respect..congrats to all
Flyers fans are happy. And no one that covers the flyers ever reported this so this just seems to circle back to habs being salty about Michcov🤷🏿
just drop the puck?
Wow your such a Great Human being waiting one full day 😅
Still amazes me how you can make a 10 min video with no actual content
I think you hit the nail on the head. In my lack of experience, I think he needs to be handled with care .
Already confirmed to be fake news. Flyers have zero interest in a 2nd line winger who is the worst defensive forward in the league at 8.7M when they already have 5 top 6 wingers on the team.
Briere laughed at this rumor
No way Torts wants to deal with Laine again
I don't think phil is better then the habs
Temple alum here: Philly has an awesome night life. The bars and clubs are amazing. Great food scene. Everyone is surprised how awesome it is when they visit
Laines career ended as quickly as it started.
Joining with mtl was his best bet because he will get the hype hes always wanted without having to really be a star player. Seems that fanbase thinks every new player is the stud the whole league missed out on lmao.
Laines best attributes are on fortnite. He hasnt been very good at hockey in a long time.
Regardless how its cut up to coddle scabs fans sensitivities.. No other Nhl teams were taking on a 9mil player that hasnt preformed since signing that contract. Not to mention hes a bad night away from a relaps and a paid trip to rehab.
But i do enjoy the subtle admission from the managment team that smallfield isnt the star scabs fans say/pretend he is so scabs are taking gambles with wash ups from other bottom dweller teams lmfao
Enjoy the bottom scrubs.
why keep showing us video game
Johansen for Laine? Source better not be bullshitting because that's gunpoint robbery. Laine was doing the Blue Jackets a favor.
…Who in the hell would want to go to Philadelphia??
Especially a cupcake like Laine. Theyd eat him alive.
Subban hitting the Michigan is crazy
can´t listen to someone who can´t show their face.
Flyers fan here. I'm not convinced Laine would've fitted our team and Tortorella's work-ethic first grind hockey and system. While we desperately need more scoring, I don't think Laine was the answer, as I don't see him as a player who gives 100% every shift and can defend well. And Tortorella doesn't seem to allow exceptions (his weakness as a coach IMO). It'd have to be guys like Foerster, Brink, Tippett, hopefully Farabee too who could produce more; Laine wouldn't like it in Philly as already seen in that Philly was in his no-trade list.
I think Montreal is a much better bet for Laine. Apparently he also likes the spotlight and media availability. Well, that he can get in Montreal! Montreal has a new toy now, like every year, and then they either like to play with the toy or the toy isn't good and they throw him in the trash, as a local analyst likes to describe the fanbase and the media in MTL. I'm thinking this toy will at least appreciate him being the new toy now, and might even thrive with the pressure. Also, acquiring Laine makes far more sense with Montreal's cap structure than with Flyers'. Tbf, I don't even understand why we have apparently been after Laine, and with what cap room and players moving out.
I remember being 9 years old back in Oct. of 1987 and started watching the Habs. My dad told me that the Canadiens were a very defensive-minded team and didn't score a lot of goals. Then this guy, Stephane Richer, in 1987/88 was scoring goals like crazy! He ended the season with 50, while missing 10 games. In 1989/90 he was even better. He finished that season with 51 goals. I think the 2025 MTL Canadiens will have 3 players over 35 goals (Patrik Laine, Nick Suzuki & Cole Caufield) It's an exciting time to be a Montreal Canadiens fan coming up this October!
I have a weird feeling Torturella's coaching was beyond the last option for Patrik.
