Yes.. i believe that if you develop from within your farm club, you will receive a much stronger cohesion, coupled with a loyal team where loyalties develops from the youth. Their players will help keep you under the cap and this will allow you to keep your star forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders. Money is the last thing that will keep a cohesive and loyalty. Loyalty is what this team needs NOW, get it? How many times have this team traded to win the cup but LOST IT and THE TEAM LOYALTY ecause they disrupted a team that was begining to jell?
Trade should allow to stay under the cap along and players who beleive thay are more important then they really are, and thus are not willing to buy into Loyalty of the team. This will gut the team . These are the only ones you deal. They may see their own stupidity only to late to be a one team man.
I am one who thought Sundean was way overrated and that Doug Gilmore should have retired as a Mayple Leaf along with his teammates but they were broken up and was never been given the chance. That team was a cohesive team, till they made the most destructive trades which. If they stuck with the core team, the cup would have been ours.
Gary Roberts exposed they hade cohesion and it was Sundean, who came back to play from injuries to soon, because he saw how strong Gary was LEADING TNE TEAM . It was Sundean who stopped G. Roberts and his loyal, cohesive teammates from going to the next round and lost the race to the cup. Sundean wasn't ready to come back and the coach made the decision to insert him along with a defensemen whicn lost any chance to advance to tne next round. Team captain he wasnt. Maybe it was the top dogs who was forcing coach to send them in. The end came when the team achievements was no longer possible. PERIOD !!!
I beleive to win, each player requires these three attributes, Loyalties, cohesion, last and but not least, the money. Should they last, the money will come as a reward for work and talent, not someone elses contract. PERIOD!!!
