Honestly I really want to see what we have before adding a PTO. I like Philp as a player and appreciate the hard decision he took to step away until he was ready to handle family things. It's never easy but you have to do what's right for you before you can be right for any team. I'm also really curious about Emberson. Take care all.
I think its 2 PTOs and Travis Dermott is not who we need. We need a puck mover. Not a defensive dman like Dermott

Although I don't believe Giordano wanted to intentionally hurt McDavid like Manning did, I agree that we should stay away from an old and aging left shot D. There are lots of younger defencemen like Kemp, Gleason and maybe even Wanner who have been waiting and are much more deserving to compete for that 7th D roster spot, and bringing in Giordano will prevent them from that opportunity to play in the NHL.

A trend I've also noticed is that it seems like the coaching staff prefers skating and puckmoving defencemen over big, stocky guys. Desharnais is gone, and Ceci was traded for a younger 2 way D in Emberson. I think the Oilers are going to bring in a puckmoving/2 way defender on a pto rather than an older guy like Shattenkirk. Ideally though I hope they'll trade for a top 4 D to pair with Nurse at the tdl.
