  1. Very informative! Thank you for this amazing video and for all the information. My condolences go out to these young hockey players, to their families and friends. May they RIP. Looking forward to your next video! GO DEVILS! 😃

  2. I see a lot of the same pairings, but I am going off the reservation on a few of them…

    Forward Pairings:

    Line 1: Tatar – Hischier – Meier

(IMO, Keefe HAS to keep Meier on RW, as we all saw what happened after Ruff's departure, and he HAS to be with Hischeier. I believe you keep two players together no matter what throughout the season, and rotate a third on a line when needed until you find a person that works on that line.

    Line 2: Bratt – Hughes – Mercer*

Again, I would look to keep Bratt and Hughes together because they worked really well together, and Mercer is the wild Card. (I could see Mercer on the 2nd OR 3rd line, but I also wouldn't be opposed to putting Palat on that 2nd line to win the puck battles and to feed the other two.)

    Line 3: *Palat – Haula – Noesen

    Line 4: Cotter – Lazar – Foote/Bastian

Extras: MacDermid, Halonen * (I prefer Halonen over Willman)

    Defense:

    1st Pairing: Dillon – Hamilton

    2nd Pairing: Hughes – Pesce

    3rd Pairing: Seigenthaler – Kovacevic

    Extras: Nemec/Hatakaa

(Just about every D-pairing, I see Seigenthaler on the top line. I don't, because I think we have to see how he performs after the two concussions he had last year and his severe regression in play. IMO, I shelter him and see how he performs before anointing his top pair. We brought in Dillon for a reason, and even though Dillon may not have been a first-line player in the past, the way our d-core is structured on our Devils team, I can see him there. When it comes to Nemec, this is not a popular opinion, but due to his injury this year (thankfully not serious) and because he was never given the proper development at the AHL level last year, I would prefer him to start at the AHL and be the first call-up, since Fitzy gave us enough depth players on D this season. (This is not a popular decision I would make, but I feel it would be a good thing for his continued development.)
