  1. The jokes won't stop even if the Leafs win the Stanley cup. 1 cup in 60-something years…absolute joke.

  2. I just bought a Ted "Teeder" Kennedy jersey and I'm a Bruins fan
    🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 #9

  3. I don’t Andersen will pass anyone’s records, the leafs likely won’t resign him as he will be 32 when he is a UFA and they won’t have the space to give him a raise.

  4. An honorable mention/He Was a Leaf? for Grant Fuhr
Also everyone else has pointed out the Domi thing so I won't. That time he wrecked that fan was absolutely hilarious.

  5. Mad respect for posting this.
We have and have had, ridiculous management. Been bereft of a cup since 67 and a playoff series win since 2004. But we are a very loyal fanbase, and the team has had their moments. Cant wait for us all to get back to the game we love. And thank you lots for your posts, it's the only hockey fix I have. Cheers from Toronto!!

  6. Mats Sundin and Doug Gilmour are those who I remember that I was around for. Doug Gilmour only hurt a bit because of the bad trade the Calgary Flames made. All-time probably be Dave Keon.

  7. I would have thrown Bernie Parent in there. Most known for playing in Flyers but had about a season worth of games with Leafs.

  8. Börje Salming for me. Made me become a better person by making me aware of my built in prejudices so that i would in other aspects notice them rear their ugly head and allow me to combat them. A great player and a true gentleman.

  9. Gary Leeman scores 51 in a season and not even a mention as the greatest goal scorer the Leafs ever had?

  10. It won't stop even when they win the Cup. People are who they are.

Many, many coaches were drafted by Toronto. Carlyle, Quenneville, DeBoer, Anderson, Ley, Low, Holland, Wilson, Boudreau, ….. And who's the best ever? Nobody has been good enough long enough to be so much better than anyone else at the top. Nobody with 500 goals, 100o0 points, or 3 Hart Trophies, on and on.

  11. Do a video of all time best of picks the leafs traded that turned into superstars (Niedermayer, Luongo, Seguin ect)

  12. for me? its a no brainer ..Dave Keon 😊 ..he will always be my original hero when I was a kid before I switched over to the Sabres forever cause of Gilbert Perreault, Rick Martin and Rene Robert years later

  13. There are great players from other eras that might not be so great in today's NHL. One that would be great today was Keon. If one ever gets a chance, check out an old retro game, and watch Keon just take control. Speed, scoring touch and a great two way center.

  14. the Big M is the reason I am a Habs fan….he was my idol growing up so I followed him to Detroit and then Montreal and stayed there when he retired. so actually I was a Leafs fan in 67 when they won the last cup….I received an autographed picture of the Big M when I retried after over 27 years in the Navy, also got a handwritten note and 2 tickets as an honored guest at the Hockey HOF….

  15. Phil Housley and Calle Johansson are definite he was a Leaf candidates as well.

  16. My All Time Leafs Starting Six:
    Goal: Turk Broda
Defense: Tim Horton – Börje Salming
Forwards: Darryl Sittler – Dave Keon – Mats Sundin

  17. Bruce Gamble had a stunning .934 save percentage during the 1967-1968 season while splitting time in net with Johnny Bower (who was 43 and put up the same save %)

  19. Red Kelly was a Leaf for 8 seasons. He has won the most cups (8) of any player who did not play for the Canadiens.
Punch Imlach also served as GM in the 60's for the Leafs. It was mixed with him. Picking up Red Kelly and moving him from defense which he had played very capably in Detroit to center was a stroke of genius. However, the trade to get Andy Bathgate was controversial because they gave up a number of good players that some felt would have won them more cups, (the trade was Dick Duff, Bob Nevin, Rod Seiling, Arnie Brown, and Bill Collins to the Rangers for Andy Bathgate and Don McKenney). Also, his handling of Frank Mahovlich was questionable, and it led to the Big M requesting a trade.

  20. THG is like a horror movie that sets up its own rules but never follows them. Tavares is a notable captain while Mathews is not even a notable player? Meanwhile nobody in TO or in that locker room considers Tavares a captain.

  21. 1. Mats Sundin
    2. Börje Salming
    3. Auston Matthews
    4. Dave Keon
    5. Darryl Sittler
    6. Mitch Marner
    7. Johnny Bower
    8. Doug Gilmour
    9. Syl Apps
    10. Tim Horton

It’s actually a shockingly unremarkable list. For a franchise that’s over a hundred years old, they should have had at least 3 or 4 generational players. They’ve had literally zero.

  22. I’m sorry leaf fans, but you guys know that no one is gonna let you guys forget what happened when the Hurricanes were in town, right?

  23. it will happen leafs will lose the stanley cup finals in game 7. Somehow against the Bruins. Mats Sundin#13 GOLEAFSGO
