one of my FAVORITE moments!
For all of you Bettman era hockey fans – think about it. A goalie fight in the playoffs. This is the way things used to be. There aren't any regular fights in the playoffs anymore, let alone goalie fights. So yes, hockey used to be actually entertaining.
From May 3rd, 1997.
awesome video!
God damn it I wish hockey was still like this.
Dan Line vs Ray / May line I like how it showed the whole shift leading up to it.
Garth Snow shtty goalie shtty GM.
It’s crazy how much worse this call is vs the Rick jeanerette call
this 😬
People forget how fun goalie fights actually were. Hextall and Roy were the best at it.
As much as I love Goalie Fights I think Garth Snow is a Goon. Made us Goalies look bad sometimes
Who was chirping Snow from the Buf bench? Barnaby?
Sorry there's only 1 version you watch and that's the Sabres feed. RJ had the iconic call on snow vs shields
Dopey Garth Snow and his lacrosse chest protector
I love canadian hockey , now it’s too American
Ray pulled a "Vukota" on Kordic.
Philly commentator: “They are really able to throw punches”. Meanwhile, Shields throws and connects with 4-5 in a row.
Chris Therien and Karl Dykhuis two of the biggest pussies that every put on a flyers uniform. How they fuck did they go from Carkner and Chychrun to those two giant cunts.
Shields was/is a badass.
Best part is May at the 2:00 mark!!!
Interestingly Snow and Shields both played NCAA hockey at the same time, Snow at Maine and Shields at Michigan. They met in the 1993 national semifinal, a 4-3 overtime win for Maine, although I believe Mike Dunham played for Maine in that game. But you wouldn't think two NCAA goalies would fight like that.
