As someone that has struggled with drugs and alcohol, this story hits hard.
All of the people that look down on drug addicts as plights or subhuman, should take note that it could happen to anyone. He was a 2nd round pick and played for multiple years in the NHL. It could happen to anyone including people you know and love.
It’s so easy to make one bad decision that takes you down a path that is incredibly hard to get off.
