Clarke Gillies was one tough hockey player. Decievingly talented he could beat you at whatever style of game you wanted to play. A real key player to the Islander dynasty teams.
Gillies might have been the best fighter ever. RIP.
Should have speared Wilson in the face for attacking Bossy
The good old days
Old fashioned Donnybrook….welcome to Nassau Coliseum…..💀🤕🥅🏒
same old same old refs always grabbing the Flyers
Jethro could really thump 'em good. RIP!
Gilles was one tough hombre
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh
Philadelphia feed: " seems like Gillies got more shots in". Ya think? He got about 15 in and Hoyda got about zero.
Saw when Bobby Clarke tried to grab on to Gillies right arm to stop him from going after Hoyda but Jethro just shoved Clarke aside like a rag doll.
Gene Hart says nothing about Billy Smith pounding the crap out of Hound Dog Kelly.
I really miss the old normal
awesome, Billy and Bossy both chucking hands:) Solid. Thank you for posting this! Highlight of my week. Awesome. I miss my youth and these lads. RIP Mike.
There was this one fight where everyone but the goalies were involved. The goalies just looked at each other befuddled.
Wilson so tough – wanting to fight Bossy ( LOL ) !!! Why not Gillies or Nystrom ???
Ole Jethro didn't mess around👊
This was before my time (I was only 6 months old).
Though, seemed like there was a carry-over altercation from a prior game a short while ago.
At least this has survived in the current game.
Not as often but enough nonetheless.
Gillies didnt F around. He could throw em when he needed to.
Back when Men were Men. And the NHL wasn't woke
