Still funny to see the kings and oilers both acquire arvidsson and foegle
Dunno but I want to see another Avs v Oilers series
Oilers obviously are better than last year, but as you said, it up to see how they do in the long run and if something similar happens to them like last season.
Edmonton Oilers are still Good Cup Contenders for my second favorite Team
The right-side D is certainly the biggest question mark on this team. Forwards are gonna crush it again like usual. And hot take- I already saw Stu as a stud of a goalie, but this is gonna be the year he truly turns some of his skeptics into believers, and becomes, at minimum, an unquestioned top-10 goalie in the league.
We want the cup! Let's go Oilers!!! ❤
Offensively better. Defensively worse. Goaltending same.
The same or worse IMO.
better roster, worse cap hell
I’d say the forward group is better than last year, I feel like Stu is going to take another step this year, and while the defence is a bit weaker right now, if Emberson can grow into a solid 2nd/3rd pair shutdown guy and they can pick up a top 4 RD at the deadline, this team will be absolutely stacked
I think our defence won’t be that much worse, if not improved. Broberg on his offside is meh, desharnais was solid but wasn’t a great puck mover. Ceci was decent at best. Stetcher and Emberson could complement our current team better than the defencemen we lost did. Emberson could be a solid defensive anchor to fit beside nurse, and stetcher is a better puck mover than desharnais, getting the puck up to our offence. I guess we will see but I have high hopes for this season.
As an Oilers fan, I'd say they stayed the same. On paper, they downgraded on defense, despite beefing up the offense.
They still need a goalie. Skinner ain’t it.
As long as Nurse is on the team they are Cup contenders every year.
Coming from an Oilers fan, better, we replaced some older players with younger guys and also got a few notable forwards in FA. Despite what the right side D might look like, it doesn’t seem HORRIBLE to me, but it doesn’t seem great. Emberson has tons of room for development with a veteran Nurse. The 3rd pairing might be a bit of a question mark, but otherwise, it’s very overhated.
They are older, slower and more full of themselves
Replacing Ceci with Emberson is enough for me to say they’re better. Getting Leon some top 6 wingers is the cherry on top.
Stu has had 2 wild seaons. see what year three brings.
Matt savio is ready for the nhl the question is is there room for him in the lineup
If they dont win this year, i smell a nurse buyout. So much wasted cap space with him.
Honestly i think they should of done it this year
I think that kulak and stretcher is a good par to it’s the second pair I’m worried about
