  1. This is an easy exercise as there's literally only one spot open on the team for any of the Bruins prospects, of which, all beyond Fabian Lysell are either bottom of the roster forwards or bottom of the roster d-men

The 2nd line RW spot is open, however, if Lysell doesn’t win it the job it seems almost a fete complete that Trent Frederic or Morgan Geekie would start as the Bruins 2RW

If that were to happen that would open up either a LW spot or the Center spot on the third line or maybe even a 4th line spot

Not one of Trevor Kuntar, John Farinacci, Brett Harrison or Riley Duran would be an option for 3C, only Merkulov may be an option there

It’s also possible Max Jones could move up and be their 3rd line LW if Frederic were to be the 2RW and Geekie the 3RW (assumes Lysell doesn’t make the team)

In that scenario, the 3C would either be Poitras or the very unlikely, but possible Georgi Merkulov, Riley Duran or John Farinacci

That could also open up a 4LW spot which is where maybe only Trevor Kuntar would have a shot at a roster spot to play on their 4th line out of training camp this year.

Riley Duran is a right shot who is also more suited to center than wing so any idea that Riley Duran is ahead of Trevor Kuntar right now in terms of making the Bruins is nonsense

Duran isn’t winning the 3C or 4C job. Duran is not winning a spot over Frederic or Geekie higher up in the lineup or Beecher or Kastelic lower in the lineup.

John Farinacci, like Duran, really isn’t a wing either thus he’d have to win the 3C or 4C job to make the Bruins out of camp too and there’s less than a 1% of that happening.

Farinacci isnot jumping over Geekie, Frederic, Merkulov and or even Duran either.

Ditto for Brett Harrision who isn’t a center at the NHL level, in fact, Harrison probably isn't even a real NHL prospect. Harrison has a crap compete level and he doesn’t have any real NHL tools beyond his shot. Harrison probably never plays for Boston in the NHL

In the end, maybe Fabian Lysell makes it as their 2RW but if that happens there is no forward spot for any Bruins rookies unless they were to start Poitras in the AHL.

In that scenario than either the 3C or 3LW spot would open up or a spot on the 4th line would

How the forward lines will likely play out barring injury or trade:

    Zacha Lindholm Pasta
    Marchand Coyle Lysell
    Frederic Poitras Geekie
    Jones Beecher Kastelic

If Lysell doesn’t make it as their 2nd line Right Wing
Configuration with Max Jones as 3LW which opens up a 4th line spot

    Zacha Lindholm Pasta
    Marchand Coyle Frederic
    Jones Poitras Geekie
    Kuntar Beecher Kastelic

If Poitras starts the year in the AHL & Lysell doesn’t make the team it would open up a spot either at 3LW or 4LW in addition to given Merkulov a shot at center and if you’re really optimistic, Duran or Farinacci but that’s really just nonsense)

    Zacha Lindholm Pasta
    Marchand Coyle Frederic
    Jones (Merkulov-Duran-Farinacci) – Geekie
    Kuntar Beecher Kastelic

I’m not even going to bother discussing the Bruins defensive prospects who could make the team as rookies because the Bruins don’t have a single d-man prospect that has any shot of making the Bruins out of training camp

The Bruins don’t even have a single d-man in Providence that they would feel comfortable bringing up if a long term injury hit.

After Parker Wotherspoon there the Bruins have ZERO depth on defense in the entire organization. Thus if the Bruins were to get a real long term injury on defense this season, expect a trade, quickly!!!

    Potential Bruins Rookie Defenders:

Ryan Mast: Not a real NHL player. A #7-#9 at his NHL ceiling which he isn’t ever going to reach

Frederic Brunet: Late round lottery ticket. #5-#6 at his ceiling. Two or more years away if he ever makes it

Jackson Edward: Late round lottery ticket. #5-#6 at his ceiling. Two or more years away if he ever makes it

In goal the Bruins could have a rookie play if Jonas Korpisalo throws up all over himself in the pre-season but the reality is, that isn’t likely to happen

The Bruins need to do something in goal in terms of prospects either way because if Korpisalo makes the team Michael Diepietro is 26, Bussi is 25 and both are UFAs next season.

Neither is very likely to sign with Boston again with Swayman and Korpisalo on long term deals as at their ages, it’s now or never in terms of their making the NHL

All the Bruins really have in goal beyond Bussi and Dipietro in their prospect pool is Philip Svedeback, who by all accounts, wasn’t very good last year for a Providence College team that didn’t even give up many shots

    So to sum up it…

Forget about any d-men or goalies making the team as rookies and the only rookie that has a real shot at a real NHL job barring injury or trade is Fabian Lysell

Trevor Kuntar has a small chance of making the team if Lysell and or Poitras start in the AHL as does Georgii Merkulov but it sure seems like either injuries or trades are the only paths to rookies breaking camp with Boston beyond Fabian Lysell
