  1. Great stat analysis. I agree Bedard will be better this year as long as he stays healthy. The kid is good.

  2. bedard is not generational, he is more of a patrick kane type of player. This is not a slight, but i see him having a similar career, he will not be Crosby, Ovechkin or Mcdavid.

  3. Mikheyev, Filigno and Maroon in bottom 6 sounds like a gm mode of mine lmao

I did not realize that Guentzel-Crosby-Rust and Stamkos-Point-Kuch were that bad defensively, considering Crosby is not just an elite scorer but also a good two way forward. Didn't watch many games of them tho

  4. You've got to go with dickinson for our 2 line centre, he played and improved so well last season

  5. Hope he comes to the canucks at the end of his contract.. he loves Vancouver.. and I’ve met him many times in the summer around north van area.. rink and many food places..

  6. Bedard is the face of the Hawks, but I can tell you from following this team that Foligno is the unequivocal leader of that locker room. If they do name a captain, it will be him, and he'll pass it to Bedard.

  7. I agree with everything apart from the captaincy, give him the a for now, no need to rush anything

  8. I hope the team has some others willing to help carry the puck into the offensive zone, that injury was 100% the fault of a poorly managed team and awful players on his line.

  9. You just can’t put kurashev over teuvo that line would be the worst defensive line on the team you need teuvos defensive ability to make up for bedards lack of

  10. people who wants anyone but bedard as the captain probably forgot how atrocious the team was without him

  11. of the players on that first chart
Age, & # of pro Hockey Seasons before their "Rookie Season"

    Panarin, 24, 7
    Kaprizov, 23, 6
    Guentzel, 22, 2
    Robertson, 21, 1
    Makar, 21, 0
    Boldy, 20, 1
    Pettersson, 20, 1
    Barzal, 20, 2 NHL games
    Boeser, 20, 9 NHL games
    Zegras, 19, 1
    Matthews 18, 1
    Laine, 18, 0
    RNH, 18, 0
    McDavid 18, 0
    Bedard 18, 0

Kurashav has no business on Bedard's line, at least not when they ice more than an AHL roster.

    +- is a useless stat

  12. Barzal +1 Pettersson +3 RNH 2 McDavid -1 and Bedard -44. Saying he had bad team is bad excuse. +/ is not very good stat overall but when its very high or low it tells something.

Bedard wont be the one to lead Blackhawks to glory. He is their new Kane, but they need new Toews to lead the team if they want to win anything. Bedard was Canadas 13th forward in World championship this year when facing real hockey countries after scoring couple goals against some Britan and Denmark. He was suppose to be their best player on paper but his overall game was so terrible they coudnt use him when they wanted to win and not just score goals.

Hawks need to start train him to play defence and fast, or move him to wing and get two way center for him if he just wants to score points. If Bedard next year gets 30+30 and only -10 thats far bigger improvment than 40+40 and -30. Offence can win games but defence wins cups.

  13. Bedard last season +/- -44 😂 he is not defense at all, and hes rookie season was way worse than everybody say, yeah if he get next season plus 40 goals and he spent more time in offensive side on ice just sitting in and waiting when someone going to pass so he can try make goal. (like last season and how bad Chicago was and still bedard wasnt even defense, and number shots on goal was insane much) hockey isnt one teen game, i really hope that teräväinen, hall, bertuzzi etc just going to pass bedard every time so new golden boy can try to score. Bedard is going to be insane in future maybe 2-3 years and then. But now media and everybody is going to give too much weight on his shoulders and i dong know, i hope that bedard is going to be next pulju or laine. I really hope. He is kid still, so chill everybody

  14. Ok, the elephant in the room now… as good as we want Bedard to be, he is young, short and fragile for the NHL… the injuries will follow him all his career and the better he gets, the more he is going to be targeted… sad but the true reality. He may have some 80+ points years, but injuries will make him a 65-75 points player for the same amount of matchs played.
