Soooo….there’s still a realistic path for Kolosov to play NHL games this year if he goes to LV.

Ersson absolutely deserves a shit at goalie 1. Dude played so hard last year. Just didn’t have the legs. Hopefully he spent the offseason conditioning

He deserves the chance to be number 1 on paper but I fully expect Fedetov to go 50/50 with him.

  4. Agree with this approach.

Ersson looked good when he wasn’t tired and deserves a chance to be the guy. And Fedotov never got a chance to show us what he could do and is a bit of an unknown after what he went through. And I like the organization not being desperate to go out and get a goalie or something stupid with these two guys in the system.

I truly don’t believe either goalie has earned the starting job. Ersson didn’t get the starting job because he played so well they were forced to play him more. He got the job obviously because of Carter hart’s rape allegations. He absolutely did play very well in the middle of the season but he started off bad and ended probably even worse. I hope he takes a step forward in his development but an .890 save percentage through about 50 games is not starter material for any team looking to win and is not deserving of any sort of preseason guarantees alluding towards being an actual number 1. I truly believe both goalies should get a fair chance essentially splitting time the first month or 2 of the season until one or the other actually separates himself from the other as having a superior season and if it takes longer than 2 months to figure that out then oh well I guess we’ll be like the bruins and neither goalie will play 50 games.

and it better work out because it sure seems like they fumbled Kolosov. Again, what has Fedotov done that Kolosov hasn’t to take the NHL roster spot Kolosov so badly wanted? Isn’t Kolosov the better of the two? Typical Flyers…

Let’s just hope Ersson and Fedotov don’t start crying and go home because Briere didn’t name either one the firm starter with no competition for the job.
