    Oliver Bjorkstrand come on home!

(Jk I know Seattle would probably want way more than would make sense for us to offer. A girl can dream tho lol.)

Kinda thought this was gonna be the case, all kidding around aside. Very interested to see who we’ll pick up.

This is probably going to be through waivers.

There’s a handful of guys who clear waivers at the end of training camp every year where fans are scratching their heads. And it’s always because all 32 teams are usually in the same boat, with a roster that was slightly inflated in the off season in order to be flexible in case of injuries or guys just not showing the progress that management hoped for.

Waddell is in an extremely unique situation where he is short of a full compliment of forwards before training camp even starts. There will be potential gems on waivers this year. Or Waddell will find a GM who has too many forwards and will be looking to give up an asset or two alongside a bad contract or a 4th liner in order to protect one of the guys he has to send through waivers.

  3. Isn’t there a guy in the last year of his deal the team doesn’t want? You can get an extra 1st for taking that.

How about Anderson from Montreal? Has anyone thought of this? Has anyone beat this one to death?

    >Fantilli, Jiricek, Werenski, Jenner

    > Marner, Jarnkrok, Hildeby, Danford, 1st 2025 under the conditions the leafs make the ECF it will remain a 1st, in the case they fail to make the ECF the leafs will only pay a 3rd round pick and a 2nd in the next draft. Lastly a 2025 and 2026 7th round pick that in the event the blue Jackets fail to re-up Mitch Marner the picks upgrade to 1st round picks unprotected.

    > They wanted him one upon a time maybe they take a massive risk. 🤷‍♂️

My 2 cents is I would like to see us acquire someone who’s a good locker room guy and can provide some veteran leadership. Hopefully one who doesn’t have a favorable contract in order to leverage some sweeteners as well in return. Whether that’s picks or prospects. No 2nds in ‘25 & ‘26 and if we’re bad we may as well stock up the pipeline for the future. Could even use the picks to get line-up help next off-season when we have better understanding of what we want to do moving forward.

Could see Wahlstrom heading over for a late pick
