We’ve traded picks for a few years in a row, but some of our kids taking big strides has our system looking better than what you’d expect from a team that has promoted so many younger players and not had the draft capital to backfill.

All the kids they highlighted have performed better than their draft position. I’m particularly intrigued by BMB. He projects more like a middle 6 guy than some of the others, and if his offense develops he’ll bolster center ice where we’re a little thin organizationally.

BMB can be a guy down the road, good shot and skill

Is BMB 6’4? I thought he was like 6’1 6’2 not small but not what I would call a big boy for NHL standards

Kinda feel like Mancini has come out of nowhere. 5th round pick, 3 years in the NCAA, shows up to HWP and plays well. Then comes to rookie camp, stands out, and then he was talked about a bunch during both rookie games against the Flyers. Seems like he has a really high compete-level.

If Trouba is moved next offseason, he could have a real shot of slotting into the 3rd pair.
