People talk a lot about JEEK not being a true 1C, and regardless of whether or not that’s the case, why are we so insistent on trying to make Hartman work there?

Damn give us more of that oh so sweet 97-14-12

Wild try to do some dumb shit that didn’t work last year. More at 8.

Listen to Hines interview on Judds podcast. He is going to experiment a lot in camp. Doesn’t mean that’s how it’s going to be.

I like it. Spread the talent around a bit giving us a chance to have multiple lines that can score.. like the 22-23 season where we finished with 103 points with pretty much identical cast. Sucks that Boldy and Mojo couldn’t recapture that chemistry that they had at the end of that season.

If it doesn’t work we can always go back to the KEEB line and try any and all combinations for the 2nd line while that 1st line single handedly keeps us afloat

They know 97-14-12 is the best, but they’re trying to experiment with lines because we need more depth scoring. Regardless, everyone stop freaking out about training camp lines

I don’t understand why our fan base is making mountains out of mole hills here.

    1. Hynes is going to experiment with lines a bunch – he said this in the same interview OP is referencing!

    2. By saying he is starting with Kap – Hart – Zucc, it seems pretty clear to me that our coaching staff recognizes that we need more than one bone fide scoring line. Kap does well with everyone, he unlocks Zuccy’s elite playmaking, and Hartmann has a good blend of skill and grit sufficient to do some of the corner & net dirty work to help make this line go. It makes sense to return here and try this first!

I like that he also said Rossi is going to get some rotations in with this line, which will help his development AND move Hartman down to Foligno & Trenin on occasion, which, if those three gel, could be an insanely frustrating ‘fuck you’ style of line to play against. And this leaves Boldy and Ek together – we just gotta see if Ohgren or Johansson can stick on the other wing or whether a dark horse option like Marat or Heidt gets time there.

When we need to shorten the bench, I guarantee our coaching will be throwing Kap – Ek – Boldy back out there! This isn’t the end of that line.
