That was a dumb move to walk him. It showed the Red Sox batters that cole wasn’t confident in his pitching abilities and you NEVER want to reveal any signs of mental or physical weakness, because if hitters think that you’re weak, they will have the edge mentally over you and be more confident when batting. Pitching and hitting and pretty much all of sports is like poker, you never want to give out any signs, you want to be strong and if you aren’t feeling strong you have to hide it, actually most of life is like that as well
