I knew Linden wouldn't win a cup with the nucks. I knew the sedins wouldn't win a cup with the nucks and I KNOW FOR A FACT Pettersson will NEVER win a cup with the nucks. Scrawny petey is a joke loser. This core is weak and our "star" players are not even close to being stars or even half good enough. To brand new bandwagon fans, this is not a Stanley cup winning team.
"Legitimate expectations for this team to push for a Stanley Cup"? What, from Who? (I mean Who, that is an experienced expert in the hockey World?) The team is starting without Joshua, Blueger, and Demko out for a while. Not to mention the marquee players that got replaced with more affordable alternatives. When the conversation about the team runs like this, and includes 4th line players 'Needing to show something', you aren't talking about a Contender. You are talking about a team that would be a pleasant surprise if they matched last season's regular season record, and playoff performance.
I don't understand who so many armchair pundits think that they can field a lesser talented roster, and have greater results. Cheer for the team we have, enjoy the games, and don't start trash talking in social media if/when the team 'Only' performs up to the level of their combined talent.

It’s training camp. There are no lines: just coaches trying different combinations to see what players can do with different roles and in different situations. In October we will see the real lines.
Canucks fan here.. also my name is Joshua.. last name is Malcom.. i have a few canucks jerseys, but this year its official. Dakota Joshua signing here for 2 more seasons means iam now going to purchase a black skate jersey with #81s lastname. My first name.. It'll be my 3rd black skate jersey after #EP40 & #43 Captain Hughes. (Still need my C patch for Hughes) as i got his jersey in the 2021-22 season.
