Jason Zucker hands down. Iirc he was one of the fastest in the league for a while.

  2. Inconsistencies aside, Zucker had absolute wheels in his prime.

Eye test says Gaborik and I think he deserves a square

I’ll go off script here and say Jordan Shroeder

Remember when Bogosian hit 24mph against Colorado last season?

Not a nominee many of us expected ☺️

  6. Gaborik. Walz was actually quicker around the sheet if I remember correctly but Gabby had that straight line speed.

  7. A shout for Connor Dewar. Might not get the square but was fast enough to be lethal on PK (in 22/23 Dewar and Shaw PK-ing together before Shaw’s injury had 3 goals for and 3 goals against).

  8. Richard park was the fastest I’ve ever seen a wild sweater move

In case I miss the post, can we preemptively decide on Koivu for most clutch simply due to his backhand move in the shootout?

  10. Man, Zucker has to be a serious contender. He had absolute wheels in his prime.

Zucker has my vote but I joined up late and never saw Gaborik play

Nico Sturm babyyy. Or if we could pick Brods again

    Marian Gaborik.

John Scott said on his podcast that it took a couple guys to put compression pants on him that were too small. They had to wrap his legs as tight as possible. If he exploded as fast as he could he could rip the muscle off his bones. That’s how fast Gaborik was. Zucker was fast, but Gaborik was one of the fastest to ever do it.

    He was a BEAST

  14. Marian Gaborik, Zucker is a close second, but breakaway speed goes to Gaborik

  15. No love for Veilleux? He had an absolute motor, so much so that several times he was going too fast and couldn’t stop fast enough to prevent himself from running into the boards. I always loved how hard he worked (and how well he mocked McLeod)

The correct answer is gaborik…or the winner of the NHL Fastest Skater Competition in 2003
