Mr. Cirelli has to at least be in the conversation here.

  2. Karmakakez

Probably Point but he hasn’t had to in a long time

  3. Cirelli is one of the best shutdown centres in the league, not really too many comparable players who also play Top 6 minutes in the team’s past. Gotta be him

Cirelli. He’s the only Tampa player I remember ever being talked about in Selke terms.

Right now could be Hagel. He is on PP, PK1 and was #2 in the league in takeaways last year. But not a center so maybe it leans Cirelli for that reason.

  6. Im voting Palat. But Im fine with Gourde or Zamuner.

People already forgetting our boy Pally! Only man on the top line to play that D.

Palat, then Killer, then Cirelli for me. Honorable mention for Yanni, but he us left too soon.

Kinda interesting, we’ve had some dominant defensive teams, but there’s not really a dominant two way forward that sticks out to me. Cirelli is probably the best defensive forward but calling him a two way guy is a bit of a stretch imo.

I looked back at Selke voting histories to try and see if I was missing anyone obvious. Cirelli is definitely our best finisher. Point had a couple of pretty high finishes early in his career but his defense has really fallen off in recent years. MSL received votes a few times as did Palat and Tyler Johnson (another guy who kinda fell off a cliff).

Perhaps the funniest/most surprising thing I noticed. Kuch received Selke votes in 2015 and 2017. Suck it all those Avs and Leafs that say he can’t play defense

Cirelli or Gourde are two great candidates but we really had a lot of great 2way players in recent years

Zamuner deserves more votes despite being a while ago
