« Je dirais à David Reinbacher de se concentrer sur lui-même et de ne pas se comparer à qui que ce soit. La comparaison est un voleur de joie. Donc pour moi, il s’agit de travailler sur lui-même. Je suis sûr qu’il veut jouer dans la LNH aussi vite qu’il le peut, mais il y a un processus pour y arriver et chacun y arrive à son propre rythme… » – MSL

  2. Yesterday, it didn’t sound to me that Reinbacher was comparing himself. He seemed to accept what the plan was, that he’d focus on playing his best and improving. I may be missing something.

  3. I thought he did well yesterday. You can clearly see how intelligent and how good his skating abilities are. He’s great in his own zone but I can see why people would want more from a 5th overall pick offensively.

He’ll be the perfect defenseman with Hutson in the future. He’ll be great at making the first pass and cover the offensive. Defenseman like him are needed to eat multiple important minutes.

Marty spitting facts and life lessons. Thank you Marty for reminding me to focus on bettering myself and not compare myself to others.

Especially for a young defenseman. The rank at which he was drafted should not be a knock on him if he does not become a 2nd D for the Habs. It is a knock on the scouts and the ones who takes the decision

God I missed Marty St Louis, my life coach and spiritual guide

In 5 years we’re going to have the reincarnation of Pietrangelo on our blue line and everyone is going to say.. maybe I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions before he plays 1 NHL game. That’s the hope
    Anyways.

I want Marty to be my boss.
Everybody’s boss should be like Marty.

Miss me with the other types:

Best thing that happened to David is A) Hutson and B) Demidov.

If he grows to be a Hanifin/Pietrangelo kind of player, that’s absolute, absolute gold on a cup contender. But without Hutson and Demidov to capture all the attention, he would always have to be compared to the Makars and Hughes of this world.
