Assuming Matthews would go in for Domi who would slide down to replace McMann who would slide down to bump Holmberg out.
Then Jarnkrok would replace Robertson.
Oh so hakapaa isn’t available to start the season?
It would be nice to see a Leafs camp where a prospect or up and coming player forces their way onto the team and then actually plays well.
It feels like every year nobody really earns a spot on this roster. It’s mainly the contract guys and then a bone thrown to the best of the worst, that’s about it.
Still lots of runway for that to happen this year, of course.
So notably missing is Dewar and any prospects? I think that is fair. Cowan doesn’t look like he stands out very much in these few games.
Grebenkin does, but still plays an immature game (junior habits as Berube says). Almost certainly he will play a year for the Marlies. Minten sadly due to injury will be a Marlie.
So this leaves Dewar. I think he is pretty good and a lot better than a 13F. I would honestly think Holmberg is the guy they need to decide. Dewar is pretty comparable as a player and potential imo and they need to pick one. Kampf they need too much for the Pk to cut and Reaves I think has a spot this year unless he really sucks
All I want is a Nylander-Nylander-x line before pre season is over please.
Domi, Nylander, Robertson seems like defensive nightmare lol
I feel like matthews can drive his own line and to set willy up to do well at center we should he giving him mitch on the wing.
Matthew’s with domi and knies should be a strong first line and having willy and mitch should give us a second line that’s more of a 1b.
I’m cheering for Willy to evolve. Guys a workhorse when motivated.

There is absolutely no room on this team for Reaves and Kampf anymore. Like it’s insane they have spots on this team
I’d really prefer to see Domi in Mitch’s spot, and Marner skating on Willy’s RW.
This lineup doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence.
Matthews out two days in a row. Do we need to panic? Please, tell me LOUD AND CLEAR that we don’t need to panic.
Domi a first line center man! Does their zamboni driver need a part time gig?
Everyone seemed to imply Robertson was crazy for wanting a trade (me included tbf) because of the opportunities but I don’t really see a top 6 spot for him at this point, my guess is Domi/Jarnkrok ends up on Nylander wing and why would they have McMann there on the left wing if that was intended to be Robertsons.
Please take marner off Matthews line. He just forces play to Matthews and doesn’t create anything on his own.
I think Benoit, Rifai and Timmins were their best three last night, so this makes sense to me.
That fourth line is so fucking bleak lol.
Are Reaves and Lorentz really making the team over Dewar?
I thought Dewar was excellent in a 4th line role last year
Its great to see Lorentz back in action. I was worried his injury would have been longer
Dewar will be on this team. A trade or two will also be completed before the season begins.
