I guess I can understand that.

I can’t help but feeling that he knows that it would be mentally difficult if the series makes him look bad for him.

I definitely think that is the right decision for Mitch

Nothing wrong with that. I’m sure he’ll end up seeing the stuff with Willy one way or another anyway.

The rest of the docuseries is about individuals on another team battling for and winning the cup. Which is something I’m sure he sees himself doing. I wouldn’t want to go out of my way to watch people I’m competing against attain what I want while I’m actively in pursuit of said goal.

Add on top of the above, to relive a painful failure? Yea I get it.

  4. Anything that is going to be about Mitch in this documentary…he was there. I don’t think he needs a camera to remind him of it.

Ultimately the Leafs lost in the first round. It’s not going to make the team look glowing and I’m not sure that negativity is going to give any sort of benefit. I’m going to watch it because ultimately it doesn’t affect me but anyone watching this is just a glutton for punishment if you are directly involved.

Breaking: Hearing conflict between Leafs stars Marner and Nylander – trade incoming?

I wouldn’t wat h a documentary about my workplace either. Especially in an industry where you’re already under a microscope 24/7. Don’t blame him.

  7. Coffeedemon

What is this? Another documentary about the Leafs shitting the bed? Why would any of them want to watch that?

  8. Similar-Jellyfish499

I don’t blame ya Mitch, not sure I want to relive that either!

I’m glad people in this thread are being reasonable about this.

The documentary is an inside look into something he was already inside on. Why the hell would he *want* to watch it?

It’s for fans, not for the players that already live and breathe this world.

Read this and other stories in “Pointless Thoughts volume 1”

  11. Why would he watch a documentary about something he experienced first hand?

Mitchy needs to learn how to lie to the media. Just say yeah sure I don’t care or something like that lol I love the guy for the record

  13. mr_the_boilermaker

I don’t get it. Are we supposed to be upset about this or something?

Dude doesn’t want to support the boys…

  15. Strangle1441

He doesn’t have the stomach for it. That might just be part of his performance issues when the chips are down in game 7

  16. m10hockey34

Im glad he’s honest im not watching it

  17. Can’t blame him, but what a loaded question lol

It’s amazing that Leafs fans of this era have convinced themselves that this is the type of thing a Leaf legend would say. A normal response “Ya, I’ll check it out, I hope Willy shines”. Like think of Gilmour, Sundin, Clark, Tucker, mumbling this nonsense. Grow up already.
