Never take an EA game at their word. They've 'fixed' things in the past (especially with sports titles)only to make them more broken.
I still enjoy playing NHL Hitz 2003. My favorite sports game and it doesn't take itself seriously. Also love the soundtrack.

Just checked out the deep dive video on NHL 25 franchise mode, and they added no movement and no trade clauses to the game. Hopefully you will still be able to create a 33rd NHL team. If so, I’ve already got mine planned, lines and everything.
Chel 04’s dynasty mode was great
its too bad that NHL 25 will only be on the newest gen consoles (Xbox series X and PS5). I understand that cutting off the older gens is necessary for the continued development of the engine, but I think it's a huge mistake to do that and also not release the game on PC as most people cant afford the new xbox or playstation

Yeah, the AI for EA sports is the most absurd thing ever like I think this was on it NHR 22 or 23 I was doing a career mode. I ended up. I think this was like my sixth season in the league. I was on Vegas we were playing, I think it was Billy who had Ovechkin Crosby, Malkin, Stamkos, and Panera

EA games are not better they are the same shit as always. They only care about online pack purchases. I don't play any games online because that costs extra money and I am poor. I also don't gamble with my money which is what buying packs is, I would like to keep the few dollars I have. Play Tape To Tape it's not a NHL licensed but you have more fun then with the EA games.
I will not trust EA after the decade of full on dissapointment. Year after year, dumb gimmicks. Painting over the cracks with shiny pink paint. Pretty words and not much to show that they actually are trying to make a good game. One step forward and two steps back.
We will receive a stripped down version of franchise mode so that EA can introduce "brand new" features in the following years. 79,99 please.

This NHL game is just as bad as every other version released over the last 10 years.
I'm glad other people think nhl24 is bad and not just me. First NHL game I uninstalled to go back and play the previous year. Franchise mode was broken.

I feel the exact same on the EA NHL games. I want Franchise mode to be good again but only played the last one for an hour at most and never touched it again.
Love the promotion for Rick Nash. He is still a great face for the franchise and still my favorite player. He was director of player development for CBJ and seemed to be doing good job from what I could see.
In NHL '07 on PC with cap mode on, the players had a stat which guided AI on how attached to the current team they were in they were so that when playing "Campaign" mode which Franchise mode was called back then, there were less ridiculous ridiculous waivers.
What you just said disappoints me though, I just bought a PS4 with NHL 24 because they won't be making NHL 25 for PS4, I knew the time would come, if only they'd have made it for PC again like they had announced they would for 24, but trusting EA is like trusting a bunch of a baboons not to eat you after they've encircled you in the jungle. The official page had a question "Will it be released for PC or Nintendo Switch? – NO" when they had made a lot of allusions it was coming back to PC. I really don't want to buy a PS5, it has so very little games still, and I'm not buying an Xbox series whatever, never cared for their overpriced pc's in a box. SomeOrdinaryGamers (the channel) made an approximation that the hardware inside a PS5 (and the ridiculous PS5 Pro….still no optic drive) amount to 1000 dollar and 1299 dollars (CAD) PC's, which opens ones to a whole lot more games than a PS5/Xbox Series S/X One whatever. So I'll make due with my desire to replay NHL, something I haven't done since I stopped playing after about 25 seasons on NHL '07 on PC (08 and 09 for PC were letdowns, usually the PC versions were better, then by 07, consoles managed to finally be as good as the PC when it came to the AI and, but then they revamp the graphics and controls/gameplay on consoles for 08/09 but don't for PC, they still look like reskinned versions of 07 with updated lineups and thats it). That's the reason we stopped buying the games EA, it wasn't worth it, plus people were making patches for the AI sliders, people who knew what they were doing, making the game more realistic/difficult and roster updates for free on some forums after we saw what '08 and '09 were like, it was clear they had stopped caring about the market, thus losing it and then having the excuse of saying "it didn't sell enough" when it did before, anyone who's been playing NHL since the first one on Genesis, 92, it didnt have a year because it was the first one to then, who got to play NHL 95 on PC and later know where the mistake you've made EA was for PC players. It's obvious. So despite what Shannon just said I bought a PS4 from a friend and bought the NHL 24 disc on amazon for PS4.
Sometime soon computers will be able to emulate PS4 well enough so that issue won't be one, too bad for EA, brought it on themselves when the situation comes PC gamers will boot up chel 26 or so, it wont be long until ps5 emulation will be easy to pull off.

We're all excited for the potenital improvements to NHL25 Franchise mode – the only good mode. However, this is EA, and we should probably wait to make sure any of the new features actually work before assuming they will.

I hope the Senators new arena (which will draw a different caliber of Sens fans) isn't going to be 2000 seats smaller than what I remember seeing proposed. If I was still living in Almonte, I would find it very difficult to see a game in the new Canadian Tire Place (doubt it will be called that) arena with OC Transpo replacing its bus only Transitway infrastructure with the 'reliable' O-train that goes as far west as Lebreton Flats.
