Not an exciting lineup but there are a few stories there. There is a reason imo why kapanen is between the probable 3rd line wingers this season.
That is certainly a lineup of hockey players.

I have to think that there’s some ulterior motives here regarding Kapanen vs. Dvorak for the 3C spot. With a good game tonight he could really push management’s hands, would love to see him pull it off.
Barron’s also being put in a position where he really needs to impress if he wants to have any chance of being more than an injury replacement for the NHL lineup.

Leafs lineup tonight is nearly their opening night roster, so it’ll be even sweeter when we beat them with this nearly AHL lineup lineup

Away teams almost always ice terrible lineups in preseason games, Toronto will likely have most of their regular season team iced for the home fans tonight.
Just means more shame onto their team if we beat them.
But I like this lineup, let the kids play. Test the field a bit with not yet guaranteed roster players (mostly)
Love that line up. All those defensemen have uncertain « chairs » and are fighting for one, it should be really interesting to watch.

Interesting lineup, wanted to see Laine & Dach again but Kapanen & Hutson will do.
Leafs are icing most of their roster with the exception of Matthews. Habs are in for a tough game but I believe in them to deliver us a good game.
Kapanen with Roy is gonna be fun.
Considering they are doing cuts after the game it’s normal to see a lineup full of possible cuts.

This feels to me like Barron is being tested tonight. They saw plenty of Mailloux and he did rather well so the pressure is on for a starting spot at RHD.
