#habs #montrealcanadiens #gohabsgo
Let's be honest that was not a good Philly team. I thought every Habs player that needed to have a solid game had one. Barron at times seemed to be trying too much. But I thought all 6 D were solid and moved the puck really well. All the young forwards had solid games. Obviously Condetta is going down. Kapanen is making decisions hard. We may see a forward traded if he keeps playing like that. All in all its just preseason. But man was it nice to watch my Habs.
That dvorak roy anderson line i thought was the best. Kirby looked a bit rusty but i can see his line having some good success this season. Kapanen was impressive. Barron looked a little nervous in his own zone. A great effort by the team last night. 😁
I really like what i see on the highlights from Primeau. Yeah true Philly did not have much going for them but they still had a few really good chances and managed to trigger some pretty heavy well placed shots in those opportunities, he shut them all down very neatly. The one breakaway rush at pretty much 2 against him he was perfect.
thanks Pez and DVO but we have better players. Beck will be a face-off monster with more offensive upside than slow footed Dvorak. Tuch or F. Xhekaj are already better than Pez and can fill that role and learn on the fly. Kappanen and Heineman… man we are a playoff team and more if we play our best players. Even if we struggle at first with young guys it is about December on that matters. I can't or won't bash Gally
Just saw the line up for tonight's game. Completely different lineup, with the exception that Mailloux is back in for a 2nd game pairing with Struble. No Guhle. Hurt?
Let's face it we have a good problem Tuck Beck Kapanen Hutson Mailloux could all play in the NHL That being said I don't want to sells Evans Pezetta Dvo for peanuts. Play they Vets sell high 😅 Laval Rocket gonna be stacked
Hutson awesome; Laine & Dach with Newhook have some chemistry to work out this; Kapanen needs a place! Mailloux was steady. Davidson made a great poke check to get the puck to Luke Tuch to score a goal.
Good first pre-season game…and let me remind everyone it was a pre-season game! Lane Hutson showing he is above the grade when compared to his fellow Hab rookies. I personally though he would be better suited starting the season in Laval…give him time to work on his defence and continue to bulk up however, watching him play is a treat…always trying to create something out of nothing, and I was impressed with his defence, attacking the other player and creating turnovers. I also liked Kapanen's game…seems like a smart 200ft player with some good hands and hockey vision. Davidson is quite the pesky player..he will start in Laval but his pesky play might fit on the 4th line in the future. As for Laine…small sample size but you can see the crowd already loves the guy. I would look for him playing with Suzuki eventually if the chemistry w/Dach doesn't materialize…but again, everyone is getting the rust off so give the lines time to figure stuff out. Primeau and Dobes looked solid in net…a good first game.

Officially, Laine had 5 SOG; don't know if the post- buzzer counted as one, but good first time with the Habs in any event.

I’m glad Deslauriers has compassion on struggling young players trying to make a name for themselves.
