Dirty hit by a garbage player on a garbage team.

  2. Normal_Future2167

It was his breakout year. He’s done 😭 Fuck the preseason. AHL players should play agaisnt AHL players

  3. dumbydumbface

Really feeling for him. Hope he’s going to be okay

  4. It’s always the no name guys with no real career doing this shit to stars

  5. UnionGuyCanada

    Terrible outcome. No call either.

  6. LadnerJohn

Cheap shot. Should get nowhere near an NHL team. Another reason to despise the leaves.

  7. xX_ReNeGade_Xx

Laine set himself up for this, wide legs going into two opposing players. You aren’t splitting guys being wide like that. Unfortunate outcome but not dirty or intentional

  8. Commandant1

I fear hes done for the season. Knees arent supposed to bend like that.

  9. Sea-Wash7005

It’s beyond me how these no name scrubs get away with dirty hits, bad actions etc every pre season under the pretext of « fighting for a job ».

Brutal knee, that’s probably Laines season done before it started

    Unbelievable

  11. kangathatroo

This almost deserves a NSFW or something. That really sucks for him

  12. JadeHellbringer

If he plays before Christmas it’s a goddamned miracle. That was awful.

You have to answer the call after that kind of shit.. either it is intentional or not. That guy didn’t.

As a former enforcer, I can say that he definitely lost a lot of respect, if not all of it, from his teammates and everyone else he will ever play with for a long time. That was 2 career suicidal moves, Xhekaj wouldn’t have leveled him too hard either. He only had to answer the bell, not fight to the death.

I can FEEL this image … on many many levels…too many levels.

  15. Chuckychinster

Gotta be some extensive soft tissue damage.

  16. 27hands

Hope it’s just a partial MCL tear, which shouldn’t be season-ending. I just had this type of injury with similar mechanism in beer league and don’t need surgery and should be back on the ice about 8-12 weeks after the injury.

  17. johnred4

So many angry habs fans in here, doughty broke his ankle, Tavares, nylander injured. Injuries happen specially when ahl guys are battling for spots and NHLers aren’t.

  18. jessdicri7

Hope he’s ok, mentally and physically. Sucks for everyone involved.

Noooooooo. God noooo. No. No. Noooooooooooo

  20. Old_Canuck

    Just Garbage.

This crap makes the NHL look bad.

  21. FNC_Jman

I’m no doctor but I’m pretty sure your knee is not supposed to bend like that

  22. Total_Light_7885

2022 to present is one of the roughest stretches I’ve ever seen a player go through

  23. southpaw04

Cherry picking a frame…… Pare didn’t stick his leg out at all. His leg was in the same position a couple seconds before they hit.

Unfortunate that Laine got hurt, but to say it was intentional or malicious is absolute bullshit
