  1. Personally, as a Habs fan, I think of what Xhekaj did is more dangerous that what Larkin did, and I belive that's why he received a fine. But all of that start that if the refs maked the right call on Paré with his intentional knee on knee on Laine, all of that will never gonna happen of what we saw yesterday.

  2. i think its way worse, Larkin should not of run the guy, challenge him like a man, Arber left on his gloves at least while that coward ahl'er ducks when someone comes after him, he lucky Arber held back

  3. LMAO🤣 I remember when Dylan was in 6th grade and he used to cross check those poor 1st graders. They didn't even see it comin!😂 Keep your head up losers😎 How many times do we have to say it?

  4. Bad take on this one, neither is worse than the other. Both went out with intent to hit. Both landed the hit. How is getting overpowered and punched in the back of the head multiple times while being held up so the refs couldn't help, better than a deflected cross check to the head due to the player leaning over? We all now Montreal is your favorite team so the bias is expected.

  5. The dumb thing is, nothing is happening to the idiots who are going knee on knee. So you essential force teammates to defend their guys with violence however that comes. So what Larkin learned from from the crap he's taken over the last few years is that nothing happens and you have to deal with it your own way. The department of players "safety" is a joke for allowing this crap to go on in fecking preseason games and regular season games. Love Larkin as our Captain and would love Xhekaj on our blue line.

  6. Couturier literally did the same thing last night after someone stuck out a knee on mitchkov, the difference is the other guy didn't turtle up

  7. We should conclude that a knee on knee is allowed or tolerated in the NHL.
A hockey stick to the face is always punishable. A knee on knee? Not really

  8. Knee on knees can be career ending. Larkin is team Captain and you expect them to lead and step up. Maybe, it would’ve been better for a cleaner hit or Larkin to light up the lamp or even drop the gloves. This seems to be happening a lot this preseason. On purpose or by accident who knows. Maybe the guys just haven’t prepared this year and their skating isn’t to form yet.

A lot of the younger prospects are very eager to work their way up in the organization. The emotions are maybe getting to these guys and they’re not thinking clearly.

  9. Who remember Kovalev, while carrying the puck, punched Tucker in the face.

    I remember. Well-done, Kovalev.

  10. So punching a guy repeatedly in the head with your gloves on is better than landing a legal hit . . . Okay . . .

  11. Xhekaj got what he deserved penalty wise… Pare not so much, had he been penalized that fight would of never happened. i blame the ref's for missing the call

  12. Refs not calling a kneeing penalty and having the players deal with consequences is the same problem as the Bertuzzi incident.

Arber in his fit of rage was smart enough to take of his right glove otherwise Pare would be eating purée for the next 6 months

Pars should have definitely got 2 minutes fir kneeing if not 5 minutes and the game.

If Pare didn’t like the attention Arber was paying him, I’m sure he’ll love Florian in AHL games this year, if he’s even good enough for AHL Pare belongs in ECHL…

  13. One thing people need to consider is how many times Larkin has missed time from dirty hits, and mostly with the offending player getting little to know punishment. Was it a little over board yes. But if you go knee on knee there's going to be consequences. If you want someone to blame, blame the department of player safety. If they actually suspended players for a meaningful amount of games players wouldn't be as likely to take matters in their own hands. But time and time again we see dirty hits that take out players for at least a year and guys getting something like 5 games. Unless a star gets hurt that is.

  14. Didn't know about the Larkin thing, but seeing how December goes for the Wings, I get it and agree with it. Teach em young.

  15. i think one of the reasons fans arent criticizing the xhekaj vengeance as much as the larking vengeance is because of the nhl's reaction. larkin got nothing, xhekaj got game misconduct and a fine, plus they gave toronto a 7 minute major powerplay (meaning even if they scored 5 times, theyre still on the powerplay for 7 minutes) so habs fans for the most part are like ''hey look he got punished by the league i dont think we need to harp on it further''

  16. I see the difference as where xhekaj gave pare a "fair" "equal" chance to drop the gloves and defend himself where he should have but shat on the nhl code where veterans are probably puking at that rn but it's a soft gen now. Where Larkin waited till the kid didn't expect it and tried to hurt him out of anger

  17. You say hockey fans, but you should know what the true fans thought that were their. They loved it, larkin is the guy that will go after anyone that messes with any of his players. If you're gonna be roughing up players, then that's how it'll be for you to.
