  1. It is just so frustrating to see this happen to Laine again and again. He have had only 2 full seasons in his 8 seasons of NHL. This is extreme bad luck but I can also see some blame on Laine here. You can't go over blue line with your head down AND legs spread out like he did. This wasn't dirty play or anything like that, this is more Laine skating onto that knee than Toronto player extending his knee

  2. And Marty mouse just stands there no reaction no confrontation to refs or yelling. At other coach. Canadians won’t win with this kind of coach. We could have gotten roy

  3. Let’s look closely. His head is down crossing the blue line. Oh boy NHL is not European league.

  4. My god … hate to see this 😔 it just isnt fair … and before the real season even started too🙄

  5. Good hit, unfortunate result.
Pare’s knee went out because his whole body shifted to block Laine.
He was not moving, he was not charging.
It was simply an unfortunate accident.

  6. That’s a really terrible hit right there. Pare missed the body completely and stuck his knee out to try and compensate

  7. This guy Pare should have gotten suspended, send him back to the minors, he still needs to learn how to play in the NHL

  8. Im a Leaf fan but Im cheering for Laine and the Habs. No doubt its knee on knee but I don't think it was deliberate. Laine did try to cut through a very very tight spot and I think it was more coinciencental

  9. Dude this is exactly what is wrong with the NHL nowadays. D Man just stands in his way instead of playing the body which caused this entire thing. Fuck the new NHL. Not a Habs fan but get well soon bro.

  10. No intent there. Very unfortunate outcome. Not a huge Laine fan but was hoping to see him have a fresh start in Mtl.

  11. They were out to take him out, you don't do that in a pre season if it's not ment to hurt someone

  12. Laine cruising up and doing a goddamn split in the blueline with those long legs, so ofcourse this is the end result. They skate up like that in a hockey school

  13. That Pare was a nothing and will never be. He ended Laine's season and maybe career to by intentionally throwing a dirty knee hit. He's from Montreal I think….we'll he ruined the Habs big pick up. Wait till he realizes he and his family will be moving from Montreal real soon.

  14. Toronto comes to Montréal Oct 9th. Habs should ice all their AHL players and have one of them take out Matthew 's with a knee on knee. An eye for an eye.

  15. It's hard to feel sorry for a player who has demanded trades from two teams. Karma is a bitch.

  16. Maybe he should stick to tiddly winks. He'd probably break a nail and be out for te season.

  17. Didn't look dirty to me. The guy just basically stood his ground. I absolutely despise both of these teams for clarity.

  18. Fuck man this is really fucking shitty.. I'm normally a purveyor of questionable hits but you can clear see in the behind shot he lead with his knee into Laines. That was an intentional move to try to injure and that doesn't belong in professional hockey.

  19. Those of you who say this was unintentional or just a bad coincidence, haven't played enough hockey in your life to warrant an opinion.

  20. Poor Laine. With his injuries and everything else now he is gone again. He can't catch a break. 😮. Stupid preseason games, they don't mean nothing.
