Another note Monty has something to do with this what’s his deal with rookies he would rather play the worst veteran on Boston then play the best prospect

All the young prospects sucked, let’s be real. They aren’t NHL material. None of them! The Bruins better win a cup soon, because they have no prospects. It sucks but there is going to be a long dry spell in the Bruins future.

If they’re sending Lycell down because he hasn’t shown enough, I would love for the coaches to tell us what they see in Brown & Johnson. Because, I haven’t seen a damn thing from either one.
Extremely disappointing. It was exciting to think we were gonna have a few prospects make the roster this year. But it’s the same story year after year with Sweeney, choosing veterans over young talent. I hope the Marchand take isn’t true, it would really skew my opinion of him if he really had an influence on sending the young guys down. It’s gonna be infuriating if Geekie starts this season as the second line wing after all the anticipation this summer of a prospect claiming that spot.

I will say I don’t think ownership is giving Sweeney the green light to offer 8×8 and this boils down to ownership not wanting to pay Monty, he’s in a contact year he wants vets not rookies and young guys, trust me I’m pissed but there’s a fkn underlying factor here we just don’t know exactly what it is
Man honestly was at work when I seen the roster update, I was like wtf is this BS they straight up built up merk and lysell to just bury them, it’s obscene, why don’t we like speed, fk I like Johnson but I’ll take lysell itleast for 10 games see how he does, I’m so mad I’ve watched lysell in WJC and was happy I was like hey he’s not ready yet but maybe 2-3 years, he easily should of itleast been there till the final cuts it’s ridiculous
They had lysell skip some of the rookie stuff over the summer so he could push for a spot. And now they cut him in the first round of cuts over Johnson or ahl player brown. That just comes of as something is amiss. The Marchand quotes were the first thing that came to my mind. Geekie is not a top six forward we all saw it in the playoffs. Why give the kids a real chance to push for that spot.
This is exactly what needed to be said. Sweeney is obsessed with signing shitty 4th liners.
The bruins thinking just adding size will fix the lack of offensive creativity and skill is why we’ll be asking again why this team has 2 shots on goal this next postseason

They know what they're doing. A veteran lineup to start the season with no real number 1 puckstopper is a smart move. Turnovers will kill this team. 3 games left and the 1st line hasn't had reps. Time to define the lines. The young bucks will get their chance soon enough.

I agree with some of your points. A few of these prospects should of been given at least another game. Some of these veterans don't deserve it.

We need some skaters – and they need to have the time build the NHL playing style if they are prospects. It’s not now we should be good I don’t get it – but I think our fabulous coach has put in his hockey knowledge 😂 again.

The likes of Merk, Lysell etc made these pre season games fun I'm gutted for them, we were just seeing Lysell build confidence as well.

It's Ok. My keeper redraft is tonight and I wanted Lysell as my mandatory Rookie slot. Now I can safely wait until my final 8th round pick to take him and he will get a chance the first time someone stumbles or get injured
i will never understand (whether its sweeney or monty) their obsession with Brown, i genuinely would rather have Marc McLaughlin playing over him.
Also doesn't help Merkulov or Lysell cant get any nhl experience. Management treats the roster like they're so damn solid that no one can be pushed out, nearly every position is up for grabs imo besides Pasta, March, McAvoy, and Carlos but we don't give them the opportunity to build chemistry with anyone on the roster

Low Qual, I totally agree. Respectfully, don't ever stop your strong opinions and takes. I love it. Our country needs to hear this on everything. I have been a Bruin's fan dating back to Bobby Orr. Curious why we can only win one cup over many years. After all Sweeney went to Harvard, I do not like him, and do not trust him.
