  1. Nick’s gotta make the opening night roster. 25 goal scorer this year if he plays the full season and gets a regular shift

  2. @ minute 25: "It's not like we've had issues with the PK" …we were 22nd in the league at PK last year. There has been a noticeable difference so far. Looking good to me.

  3. Robertson does well in games against smaller skilled teams but when it's time to play Tampa, Florida, Boston he's just ineffective.

  4. Honestly I’m not too sure if a lot of teams would be interested in Robertson rn. He was just a free agent this summer and nobody offered him a contract. We all know he has the skill to produce. I don’t think anyone should be surprised he’s scoring in preseason. But I agree, what does he do when he’s not scoring? I just can’t see a team offering fair value for him when they could’ve signed him for almost nothing (if not nothing) in the summer

  5. So, I'm of 2 minds on Robertson. I don't think you're wrong about anything you said; he scores goals, and kinda nothing else. I don't know how/where that fits in this lineup.

However; that's exactly what we have had down the lineup. Especially if Tavares & Nylander are both going to play C this year behind Matthews, we will need more scoring wingers, and maybe those few extra goals from a guy like Robertson are the difference.

Again, I don't think you're wrong about anything you said about him, but on a roster that needs just 1-2 more goals in a Playoff Series… He's a guy who can get you those.

  6. Robertsons other parts of his game are b.s. we have players that cant score and arnt responsible on the other side of the puck. Hes under contract and will be on the opening roster. Stop listening to the media saying whatever for clicks and views

  7. Robertson is a good problem to have. He would easily be a second line winger on many teams and might be able to peak his career at 25 to 30 goals. Lots of teams would love that.

  8. He is making less than a million a year and we will lose him for little to nothing. He needs to play to be valuable to any team.

  9. Robertson is a keeper, many coaches say you can teach defense but offense is a gift. Give him a chance with the Chief.

  10. Laine is gonna be out for months, perhaps the season. First Lafs v Habs game at Bell Centre should be interesting 😎

  11. Hildabeast is the best goalie they have. Maybe half a year in the AHL, where he will dominate then bring him up for the second half. Regarding Roberston, keep him full time, Chief will make him valuable both sides of the ice, Willie N doesnt' have any other value than just scoring as well and I bet Roberston can score just as much as Willie and not be as much as a defense liab as Willie. Robertson has almost as many goals as Knies last season and he didn't get to play all year long with Matthews and played a fraction of the season. Come on guys, what is with Leaf fans. We alway crap on great talent. He'll go somewhere else and score 30 goals and get futher in the playoffs. Watch and see.

  12. Last night's game might have been a great thing for the Habs because they no longer have to bitch in Dec. about what a waste it was getting Laine.
How can you say at 27:00 that this is what the Leafs are doing when it's the AHL team. If there is a system being used it's probably the system the AHL coach from last season used. Berube is only there to evaluate.
Great Russian players don't mature playing for the Russian national teams for a few years before coming to the NHL like Ovie did anymore. They aren't as developed as much as Ovie was when he came over. In the long run Grebenkin could have a better career than Demidov and Michkov because they don't have that development period anymore. Too many great Russian prospects have been duds since the NHL has been grabbing them before they really developed their style on the Russian team.

  13. Why is Knies an automatic top 6 guy when he only managed 15 goals in that role playing with top offensive players? Knies is a 3rd liner at this point. Knies Kampf and McMann as a hard forechecking 3rd line that creates chances on turnovers on the forecheck. Robertson in the top 6 where they drafted him to play
